Naxx10 Raid Makeup

So my guild is fairly casual and it is finally getting close to getting into Naxx. I've been in Naxx a few times in 10 and 25 man raids, but while I know some of the fights (am refreshing myself on WowWiki) I don't really know what other classes should bring in terms of raid buffing etc etc.

So, for example, if we were going to attempt the Spider Wing, what would be a good team composition in terms of classes? Also, what should each class bring in terms of buffs/general duties.

Here's our proposed team, but we have several people that are properly geared and could swap out a hunter etc, but these represent the best geared:

Two tanks:
Warrior
Druid

DPS:
Shaman
Hunter
Rogue
Warlock
Boomkin
Mage

Healz:
Shaman
Priest

Also, one other question on healers: Tank & DPS are fairly easy to measure in terms of gearing and damage on dummies, but overall we're not sure how to measure our healers. What is a good measure we can use to ensure that they are adequate?

Thanks everyone!

in 10 man you can bring any combo of classes as long as you have 2 tanks 2 healers and 6 deeps when buff come in they are a bonus but should not make or brake an encounter

Yeah, you can definitely have any class. We pretty much have the same make-up every week, two warlocks, two mages and a hunter...

I think it's Gluth, were it's a really good idea to have a hunter. You have to kite these adds at the back and hunters make it a lot easier, although not necessary.

Re: Naxx10 Raid Makeup

Ah thanks guys. I've read that I shouldn't use CoE if a boomkin is present. What aura/buff (?) should he be using? I'm not trying to tell the guy how to play, it's just that he may be a little inexperienced when it comes to raiding.

Also, when it comes to healers, anyone know how to measure if they are ready?

Do the tanks die? If not, they're raid ready. We used ~1500 spellpower. The other stats are all over the place for different classes.

When it comes to Gluth, we have had ret pally, hunter and DK do the kiting. Hunters have several advantages, but aren't necessary.

Moonkin have Earth and Moon
Your Wrath and Starfire spells have a 100% chance to apply the Earth and Moon effect, which increases spell damage taken by 13% for 12 sec. Also increases your spell damage by 3%.

Unholy DK have Ebon Plaguebringer
Your Crypt Fever morphs into Ebon Plague, which increases magic damage taken by 13% in addition to increasing disease damage taken. Improves your critical strike chance with weapons and spells by 3% at all times.

Either one replaces Curse of Elements with 3/3 Malediction.

Re: Naxx10 Raid Makeup

you might need a third healer for horseman ( 4H... last set of bosses in military quarter )

we've done it with 2 but we've been farming it since Dec so it's hardly an issue...

although tbh 3healers definitely helps when learning the place

as for when healers are ready... take them to herioc AN and herioc HOL... if you can do that place with 0 wipes you're more then ready =p

AN is taxing mana wise if your dps semi decent ( last boss that is ) and HOL is movement with heavy AOE ( again last boss )

Re: Naxx10 Raid Makeup

First time my guild downed Four Horseman we only had 2 healers. Shammie in front, pally in back with me. Real nice with a pally. Pally puts Beacon on me and just heals himself. I skip UA and Immo, only using Haunt, SiLi, Corr and Curse of Agony then Drain Life to help keep myself up.

As others have said, make-up in 10 doesn't matter too much. Heck, it doesn't even matter in 25-man that much as long as you bring at least one of each class. Even then you don't really need one of each. Some fights may be easier/harder with a certain raid make-up, but it's all doable with whatever. As long as each is pulling thier weight.
