it's for us leet 25 raiders to farm badges for gems =p Naxx 90min, EoE 7 min, OS10 30min. 2hrs work and you walk out with 2 free gems, priceless on more serious note, VoA will soon have a new boss with the release of S7, so it's technically not out of date and never will be although I await to see what happens in 3.3 since that place is getting a bit cramped Naxx EoE etc are nice to gear up newbies, it plugs the holes where the EoC / EoH / EoV vendor does not fill ( trinkets weapons etc ). yes I realise the new herioc / normal dungeon has awesome drops, but it's the usual rule, not only are you waiting for it to drop but you're also praying to the gods no one will roll on it. The old instances serves as options should the stars not align in your favour |

Actually, there's more reason to raid Naxx and OS now than there was before the patch. If you outgear the instance, there was no reason for you to go back but nostalgia and helping out guildies (or if you get some sort of masochistic thrill from Thadd pug wipes). Now, you can grind out 16 badges in a short and easy run through Naxx 10, 4 (possibly 9) from a quick OS 10... If anything, older content is now more attractive than it has been for months. |

i have found that the number of pug runs of places like OS and VOA are much better and the quality of people you get in there are far better too. did voa 25 today (hoping the deathbringer legs drop) and the top 8 dps were all doing over 4k (inc me yay), 1 3 and 5 were locks! i doubt we will be seeing as many crap pug groups as we used to one because people are gearing up that much faster but also because people are farming badges. Ade |
