Reputations FAQ in BC

Because we never seem to have people putting together these things for this site, shamelessly copying from another one.

The following format will be used:

Name of Reputation:
Description of how you come into contact with this reputation.
Category: This indicated where on rep menu it is. Eg Alliance, Horde forces, Steamwheedle Cartel, Other.
In-Game Text: This is what you read when you click on the reputation in your reputations screen.
Starting reputation: This is the reputation you start at with them.
Location: What zone the location is BASED in.
Vendors: Vendor name (Vendor location) , Rewards linked per vendor (click on vendor name).
Number of Quests: None, Few, Many, Lots, Huge amount. Indicates how many quests are available from reputation, determining how much “monster grinding” you have to do.
RRQs: List of repeatable reputation quests and what they involve.
Mob Reputation: List of areas and levels associated with in which you gain faction reputation by killing them. First number indicates at which point that reputation stops.
Finally, under Mob Reputation, are additional notes, mainly in the form of what others have said and me not bothering to paraphrase it yet =)

Feel free to contribute since its quite big.

XXXX
indicates that I am missing data for that part.

The big bosses of Shattrath City.
Category: Shattrath City.
In-Game Text: The Sha’Tar are a group of powerful naaru who rule over a rebuilt Shattrath City. With the help of the Aldor and the Scryers, they lead the battle against Illidan and the Burning Legion
Starting reputation: 0/3000 Neutral.

Vendors: Almaador in Shattrah City.
Number of Quests: XXXX

Tempest Keep gives Shat'tar rep (12 rep) in all 3 5man wings: Mechanar, Botanica, and Acratraz.

Cenarion Expedition:
You meet these guys as you go from Hellfire Peninsula into Zangarmarsh.
Category: Outland.
In-Game Text: An exploratory force sent to Outland by the Cenarion Circle to study surviving life forms. The Cenarion Expedition has quickly gained in size and autonomy since the opening of the Dark Portal.
Starting reputation: 0/3000 Neutral.
Location: Zangarmarsh.
Vendors: Fedryen Swiftspear (Cenarion Refuge in Zangarmarsh)
Number of Quests: Lots (30+)
RRQs:
- Coilfang Armaments@75 rep per, from steam vaults for cenarion expedition faction --> exalted
- Identify Plant Parts = 10 Unidentified plant parts = 225 rep (Human). – Gives bag, occasionally has plant that gives another 800+ rep
- Uncatalogued Species = 1 Uncatalogued Species = 500-800 rep (obtained from bag in previous quest)
Mob Reputation:
12 faction/mob, 50 per boss – Coilfang Reservoir – The Steamvault, goes 'till exalted
XXXX – Naga in Zangarmarsh

Sporregar:
These guys are in eastern Zangarmarsh. In order to first do anything with them, you must XXXX.
Category: XXXX
In-Game Text: Sporeggar is the main city of a native outlands race of mushroom men. They are peaceful, though easy to gain faction with, they naturally dislike strangers.
Starting reputation: 500/3000 Unfriendly.
Location: Zangarmarsh.
Vendors: Mycah (Zangarmarsh)
Number of Quests: Many (14)
RRQs:
- Natural Enemies = 6 Bog Lord Tendrils = 750 rep
- The Sporelings' Plight = 10 Mature Spore Sac = 750 rep
- Glowcap Mushrooms = 10 Glowcaps = 750 rep
- Now That We're Still Friends = 750 rep
- Fertile Spores = 10 Fertile Spores = 750 rep and 1 Glowcap
Mob Reputation:
11999/12000 – Bog Giants – 10 rep per kill.
XXXX – Coilfang Reservoir – Slave Pens
- From Unfriendly to Neutral, there is a grind of Bog Lord Tendrils, which drop off the bog lords. The turnin is to a sporeggarion east of the spawning glen in southwestern zangarmarsh.
- From Neutral to friendly, you can grind Glowcap or Fertile Spores. Glowcap can be found on the gorund, Fertile Spores drop off of a good number of mobs in the marsh, typically fen striders and spore bats. However, and this is important, Glowcap is used to Purchase items from their rep-based vendor. So I'd save those for that specifically, there's some cool items, including alchemical potions, a threat-reducing cape, and a shield that poisons those who hit it.
- From friendly to honored, there is a Naga kill quest grind from one of the Sporeggarians. These naga also give Cenarion Expedition rep, and there is a Cenarion Refuge quest for their claws which you might want to do at the same time since you're already there.
- At honored, a special escort quest opens up with the Bog Lord Fhwoor, located in Sporeggar. The rewards as of last seen were subpar, but it's fun to escort the oaf. The quest itself is hard, you should at least have a healer to heal fhwoor, who can tank quite adequately most anything that comes his way. The end of the quest forces you to fight an elite and two adds, so be prepared for that.
- From honored to revered, there is nothing but bog lord grinding. However, the bog lords will stop giving rep at 11999/12000, so save a quest to push you over the edge to revered.
- There is, as of last checked, no means of getting sporereggar rep from revered to exalted.
- Sporeggar rewards 15 rep per mobs you kill in the dead mire or spawning glen.

:: All starting quests in Eversong Woods and Ghostlands will grant you a different amount of reputation with Silvermoon City. Depending on how long the quest is and the rewards - you will gain 100/250 or 500 reputation with Silvermoon City.
:: You can increase your Silvermoon Reputation on live servers at the moment by completing several quests in different zones all around Azeroth. The one I found:
- Swamp of Sorrows: There is a quest inside Stonard. The conversation between the Blood elf and the orc is quite fun and worth reading.
- Badlands: Next to the Watch Tower in Kargath, there is a Blood Elf who give you a quest - granting you reputation with Silvermoon.
- Western Plaguelands: There is a Blood Elf npc giving you a quest in "The Bulwark". The quest is awesome lorewise and include Uther Lightbringer.

- Stranglethorn Vale: A Blood Elf npc inside Grom Gol with a quest.

- The Blood Elf Quartermaster is named Sorim Lightsong. He is located in the most north-west part of "The Bazaar". Next to the locked door leading to "The Dead Scaar" in Western Silvermoon.
:: Alterac Valley ( This works on live realms too at the moment ). First you need Exalted ( 999/1000 ) with Orgrimmar. When you are done with that - keep looting the trash that drops from the alliance you kill in Alterac Valley and keep turn in to the vendors in your base.

Every normal turn in ( blood / armor scraps ) will give you 2 or 3 reputation with Silvermoon City. If you turn in 5 Stormpike Blood - you will get 19 reputation bonus with Silvermoon City.

Re: Reputations FAQ in BC

About cenarion expedition, herbalists might want to optimize their reputation gains by :

* Killing nagas around lakes up to friendly
* Turn in unidentified plant parts up to honoured. The best place to farm these is on the mushroom giants in the dead mire or in the western parts of the zone. You will also grind sporeggar rep doing this. They can be "skinned" with herbalism and will often give a plant part, zither by looting or herbalism.
* Once honoured, turn in and continue the normal quests.

This can of course be done by non herbalists, as unidentified plant parts drop from every mobs, but this will be way too long and boring in my opinion.

Not true - instead you can repeat the quest:
- Now That We're Still Friends = 750 rep

Very easy to get revered, one day solo or half a day in group.
