Shattrath City Help...

I've just ventured into Shattrath city for the first time, and I must admit I am feeling a little bit lost.

- I spoke to a person with a quest exclamation mark above his head and became neutral with the Lower City. Is this just like an Orgrimmar faction? Or does it have any special meaning?

- I later asked directions from a guard and became neutral with The Sha'tar. Is this faction anything special?

- I know there are the Alvor vs Scryer factions, and I could see the two sections when I opened my map. But I went into a bank in the terrace of light (middle area) and noticed the banker had "Aldor: Quartermaster" underneith his name, should I not talk to him before I choose my faction?

- I spoke to another banker that didn't have either Aldor or Scryer under his name and became neutral with The Aldor, are they anything special?

The only thing I HAVE learned so far is to not jump down from ANYWHERE as you are usually higher up than what your hitpoints will allow for.

Any help will so be appreciated...

Just speak with the Naaru in the middle, then speak with Khadgar next to him. You should get a quest that requires you to follow one of his servants, after that you get to choose your faction (Aldor/Scryer) I'd go for Scryer since they have more benefits for a Warlock. The Sha'tar is Shattrah's faction. The citizens of Shattrah themselves. Including the Naaru.

Um, I don't mean to be rude, but just telling me to go speak to someone doesn't answer any of my questions or help me at all. I don't want to just go running and speaking to people until I have a better understanding of the zone which was the whole reason for this post.

The only factions you need to take care with are Aldor and Scryer. There's a quest giver in the center who will give you a tour of the city quest. Once you've done that he'll offer you two quests. One will make you friendly with the Aldor, and hostile to the Scryers; the other does the opposite. Right now you're neutral with both. Go to each bank and look long and hard at the items the quartermaster there has on offer.

The other factions, Sha'tar, Lower City, work normally.

You can speak to the Aldor and the Scryer quatermasters before you chose your side. This was you can see what they have to offer. Talking to them at this point won't affect anything. As matter of fact my hearth is set for the Aldor inn, though now that I have chosen the Scryer, I should probably change that...

Lower City is just like any other city rep, as is the Sha'tar. Or is as far as I can tell.

As far as talking to a banker I think that just set your starting point with them. If you talk to the Scryer one it will also set it. Then once you chose sides, it will go from there

I've been wondering how to align myself with a particular faction! I never got around to doing that "follow my servant" quest, which explains why I haven't managed to find any other quests which align me =p

I may just sit at neutral with both for a while; I'm not a tradeskiller per se, (mining doesn't count imo) and the rewards aren't fantastic enough that I'm worried about doing them. If nothing else, it may give me something to do at level 70 when I'm bored
