Has World of warcraft shrunk?

Before the expansion I found myself traveling two vast continents. Now I travel one continent that seems a bit smaller than the other two. I only need to venture away from outland to list auctions, go to Kharazan or Caverns of time. The other night I wanted to clear an old quest that took me to the crater and I even had a friend ask "If I may ask, what in the world are you doing there?" I must admit on the rare occasion I see a friend in the old lands not in Kharazan, COT or a major city I wonder the same thing. Now don't get me wrong the new content is great fun but I just want a reason to go back and do things I never finished like Naxx, AQ40 & BWL.

Solution:
1. How about heroic mode for some old instances especially 40 man raids. I would prefer tier 6+ be reserved for new instances but they could add specialty sets, trinkets & weapons to these old instances.

2. New outdoor raids or upgraded old ones. We used to have a ball doing the silithus raid mobs but rewards are no longer worthwhile.

3. Upgrade outdoor PVP to include some worthwhile rewards. A little bonus honor would light a fire under all outdoor pvp.

I assume solution one will happen and may already be in the works & this will go a long way to fixing the problem.

Make the next exansion send everyone from outlands back to the old world. A new nemisis has risen while everyone was fighting in outlands. Now when people come back not parts of the continent has been added, upgraded dungeons and a new continent. I mean face it a planet with just 2 continents?

In a few interview found through it was either slashdot or some other relativly reliable news source, a few of the blizz devs said that they plan on coming back to azeroth in the next expact. Possibilities were Northrend, the maelstrom, and I think something else, but anyway they planned on adding a continent like area to the old world atleast

Hopefully they don't do that, there should be a way to make all the lands attractive.

man northrend sounds fun, i definately think they should make the "frozen throne" a raid, perhaps blizzard already is planning this if they move the level cap higher, and killing arthas/lich king would sound like such a fun experience.

This is a major issue in our guild. We have one dude who really want to finish his Tier0,5. It gets annoying to see the chat calling for UBRS(like 6 weeeks) while nobody agree's on his subject. Luckily some want to finish the Onyxy pre Q. There was a Deathmist robe drop yesterday. The whole set gives you a +35spell damage. I rather cook up a Raptor Ribb.

I hope that if they do send us back to Azeroth that they redraw all the two dimensional areas so we can use our flying mounts.

Swift <color> gryphon and riding crop makes any other mode of travel painful.

i read an article on wowwikki that its possible that the next expansion will be the emerald dream..... basicly an alternate reality/copy of azeroth controled by green dragons where illidans brother (cant remember the name, mal-something) and cenarious (spelling... need to catch up on my wow lore LOL) fight "the nightmare" lol

sounds cool anyways and would be just like going back to level 1-58!!
