Getting rep with Honor Hold

Hey, just hit 70 about 1 week ago. Up until now I haven't ran a whole lot of instances. This weekend I took some of my guildies through the blood furnace and ramparts. They got rep etc from it b.c of their levels 60-61ish and didnt have honored with HH already.. My question is how do I build up this rep with them? I know there is a level 70 instance in Hellfire but it requires a key.. how do i get the key? Thanks for any help!

WoW wiki has a number of good faction writeups. Looks like you are in a slow period if you have already finished all the quests for there and are Honored.

For 30 minute SH runs, get a prot pally, 3 AoE dps, and a healer that can spam heals on the pally.

Don't CC anything. Just let the pally grab aggro on that the mobs then AoE spam them down. I got exalted with Thrallmar in two nights with this strat.

Nice, thanks for all the tips Darkith1. That should be very helpful. I got most of my quest done last night for the key. All I have left if the fel reaver.

You can kill him solo, just lure him to the casters just outside the city

Once you get revered you can do heroic ramparts, which has easier trash pulls anyway (the bosses are a different matter). Shatt halls trash is harder than at least 2 or 3 of the heroics and heroic shatt halls seems like a nightmare I'm going to sit out on till my gear is beyond awesome. Unlike any other faction you can only grind to revered with the level 70 instance and need to do heroics to get past it (instead of it just being quicker and more rewarding) but the flip side is, the heroics aren't as frustrating as the instance to get to them, so once you hit revered it's okay.

I have all heroic keys now so getting my eventual exalted is something I'll do.

Re: Getting rep with Honor Hold

Something I didn't learn until my second trip through the 60s is that the lower level instances stop awarding rep at honored. To really fly through the rep, save all of the Honor Hold, Cenarion Expedition, and Lower City quests until you reach honored with those factions through instance runs.

Doing so will enable you to reach revered with each of these factions before you begin the 5 man instance grind at level 70, and make the trip to Exalted much, much quicker. Between the instance runs, and the non-faction and off-faction quests (Exedar, Sporeggar, Kurenai, etc) you can easily manage to get the levels required for the next set of instances before doing these quests.

If you really want to max out your profit, save the rep quests for level 70, and gain the extra cash reward for them too. But that's a pretty masochistic way of leveling, considering what a large percentage of experience from 60-70 comes from questing.

Obviously, none of this is handy to the OP, who's already 70, but hopefully others will find it helpful.
