zone bonuses ?? how do they work?

Ok so I have noticed that depending on what particular area I am in (in the outlands). i am getting an automatic +5% to +10% spell damage buff. This buff seems to be related to the faction. can someone please explain to me how those work or point me toward some notes regardnig zone buffs. The extra spell damage buff is obviously very nice buffs to have for griding or PVP

These are world PVP buffs from the zone you are in. If your faction completed/won the Zone PVP objective, your faction gets the buff zone-wide.

I am not really sure on this but I will tell you what I noticed. When I was in Nagrand farming motes I noticed that at some point Alliance took control of Haala (spelling?). At the point we had control I got one of the zone buffs (bonuses) that you are questioning about. Is this how you get them? Not sure but it seemed that way. Are there other ways to get them? Not sure maybe others can answer better. I remember when I use to quest in Hellfire getting a buff from time to time....maybe this was because Alliance took control of all the towers? I am sure others can help you more this was just based on observation.

Re: zone bonuses ?? how do they work?

You get the buff anytime your faction controls the zone via PvP accomplishments. This is true in Zangarmarsh, Hellfire Peninsula, and Nagrand. It is also true in the Eastern Plaguelands and Silithus I believe. I am not sure about the Bone Wastes PvP (Terokkar Forest), I didn't spend a lot of time there.

The buffs are good as long as your faction controls the towers. In addition, there are two elementals in Cenarion Refuge (Zangarmarsh) that give you free buffs anytime you want them, but the buffs are only good in Zangarmarsh (when you leave the zone the buffs disappear from your character).

Hope this helps.
