New capitals please.
I use a blood elf now but my old main was a troll which got me thinking isn't it time Vol-jin and the Darkspears move out and get their own place I mean who wouldn't want another capitol city and if the trolls get one I guess then the gnomes would also make some kinda tech paradise to call home.I don't really care about the gnomes I kinda hate them actually no offense to gnome players but I figure it would be a package deal in terms of fairness not to mention it would be a great addition to the Wrath of the Lich King expansion so i wanted to post this and see what other people thought.

Re: New capitals please.
Believe it or not, the Darkspear trolls do have their own home. Though it isn't large enough to consider a City.
Sen'jin Village - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft They actually have had some very rough times that have dwindled their numbers considerably, After joining the Orcs, they set up home on Echo Isles but were driven away by Jaina Proudmoore's Father's fleet. After that battle ended, they were allowed to return, but one Troll decided they didn't need the Orcs and turned many Trolls against the Horde and claimed the isle. Now the Trolls home is Sen'jin Villiage as linked above. For the full story: Darkspear tribe - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft Besides, in both the case of the Gnomes and Trolls having a city, what point would it serve to have one so close to another city? The Trolls would be too close to Org, and the Gnomes too close to Ironforge. Given how hated the Darkspear Trolls are among the other trolls, they wouldn't be able to build a city in many of the other zones that a troll would likely settle. And as we've seen already, having two cities near each other renders one city virtually empty (see Darnassus/Exodar or Undercity/Silvermoon) expecially if the second city isn't located in an ideal location for anything be it a travel hub or resource of some type. I think Silvermoon only gets the traffic it does, which isn't a lot but is more than the Exodar, is because it is the fastest way for Horde players to reach ZA. Re: New capitals please.
Ah, yes, but Gnomeregan would be absolutely colossal if it were anything like the instance. That alone would draw people. And Ironforge would still be populated, because its, well, Ironforge. Also, Gnomeregan could have something unique, like a port like Stormwind has. (a tunnel under the mountains maybe?) Because the Horde already has two zeppelin towers, so the Alliance would get two ports. Also, if/when Blizzard does something with the islands in the middle of the ocean or the Maelstrom (which they will have to do eventually to keep the game going) Gnomeregan could be a way to get to those places. Eventually. Blizzard already has its hands full with Wrath of the Lich King. And in terms of the trolls, well, one of the islands in the center of the map is supposed to be Zandalar, the ancestral home of the trolls, so you've got the background right there.

Re: New capitals please.
Actually, I think there could be another capital city, but I disagree, it shouldn't be Troll or Gnome based, but I think it should be Goblin based! I think we should be thinking on a grander scale. How about a Neutral Capital City in STV, much like Shattrath...
If you think about it, STV is important to both Horde and Alliance, it is frequented by all levels and whether you like it or not, Booty Bay is a busy port of call. So now that I have decreed this Capital City into being, where could this city be built? I think there are 2 obvious solutions, the first one being, a Booty Bay build up, or more to the point, build itself into the mountains that surround it. Think of all the underground buildings and tunnels and amazing wonders that could lie deep within the mountains! Or the second option, take away something out of STV that nobody will miss, like the Arena, or the trolls, or ogres and build something new... You could even make a world event where the goblins rise against the alliance and horde forces that occupy the STV territory and they claim back Grom'gol Village and Rebel Camp, at the end of which they demolish both camps and build on the Grom'gol site and build this epic Capital City! Maybe from this we can see the next expansion develop, with a new race being Goblins, decendants of this massive world event and develop skills, and the rise of their own hero class "Destroyers" emerges, who use speciality engineering weapons that make them the new ranged melee class that Azeroth has not seen in years! This could then become the new epicenter of Azeroth! Ooops, I should probably bring it back closer to reality... As for the initial statement, should we be supporting a new capital city? Re: New capitals please.
I like Zargoll's idea but I vote for the goblin city to be in the middle of STV. That run to booty is a killer.
Would they make the Goblin King David Bowie? |

Re: New capitals please.
I hope the next add-on will bring some more cities than just one. I love the city feeling and it's a shame that the The Burning Crusade cities are almot not used. They should revamp them qite a lot so people use those old places much more.
David Bowie is always good. |

Re: New capitals please.
somebody's been watching too much of 'the labyrinth' hehe.
but i dont really think a new capitol is necessary. i would much rather have blizzard focus their attention to designing the instances to look cooler like dire maul, mara, and naxx. i felt that the instances in bc were not so much about the beauty and creativity of the environment so much as just getting through them to get loot. |
