Crazy Warlock Solo Runs

I started playing around with a druid and found on one of the druid forums that with enough fire resist gear, and probably a lot of luck, these guys can solo Incendius. There are also some wacky hunter runs where they can go solo to get some pets that one would not think possible. Does anyone have any hard, but doable, warlock solo runs that they could share?

No replys, eh?

Someone has got to have a wacky, I'm the uber-warlock God, this should be impossible (but its not because I'm the man), solo run they would like to share.

I have heard of that being done before, and it is impressive.

Re: Crazy Warlock Solo Runs

Borelgore is definitely one of the tougher Warlock solos, I've heard people talking crap about pulling the PvP guy at Chillwind, but I'm not sure if I believe that. I've taken out Duskwing but it took a Doomguard and a ton of Bandages/Potions. Easier ones would be Frost Giants in Winterspring, and Hederine Slayers and Initiates are a supreme challenge in Darkwhisper Gorge. Stone Guardians in Un'Goro are not too hard, yet rewarding. Warlocks can solo Templars in Silithus pretty easy. I've solo'd Shy-Rotam why my friend tamed her mate.

I think the closest thing to what you describe would be Solo'ing parts of Dire Maul East. If you go through the back door you can get straight into the demons. I've solo'd most of it. You can take the 4 Demon pulls with some practice. The boss on the platform with the imp can be solo'd, you use CoD and jump off the platform when she runs down after you you run back up and jump back off again, kinda cheap but nice loot. The Hydro is very tough solo, think I've gotten him to 10-20% before but can't seal the deal, same with the Demon who puts you on the alter. I'm not sure how easy it is without Demonic Sacrafice and Enslave, I haven't tried it since I was doing my Doomgaurd Quest. You have to Enslave the warrior Satyrs for the bosses in most cases, and with the Hydro you want the Hellfire because he causes lots of agro and can keep it off you.

*Edit* Thought of one more, the Elite Dragonkin outside of Grim Batol.

Re: Crazy Warlock Solo Runs

I have solo'ed the pylons in DM west a few times, and used to be able to solo Tendris Warpwood before they patched him (you cant kite him around any more, because if you try he will warp you to him and entangle you).

I have tanked immolthar in an all-cloth DM west run. knight Lt gloves + searing pain + VW soul link = win. I also tanked prince, who hits much harder...

2 manned Hydrospawn with a mage and enslaved Satyr.

Soloed incendius, and the pyroguards around him (read: not at the same time). to get to him I sacced a VW, popped a swiftness pot, and hauled *** down the DI highway... died in front of his room, and used a ss to res there. with 275 FR hes a wimp.

devilsaurs, heredine demons, the elementals you spawn in silithus (the first rank of them) - all easily beaten

warlocks are hardy suckers... a joke in my guild is that they are making me an outdoor raid boss =P

Re: Crazy Warlock Solo Runs

Haha! Yeah! The pylons in DM: West can be done. You may die though if you aren't careful. For those curious the first pull will be a group of 3 and is the most challenging. You'll get the one you attack and the two closest on either side of it.

What I have been doing:

- Open with banish on one (the big one if possible) sending VW to off-tank one of the adds.
- Burn down the other one FAST ... saccing VW for shield mid fight.
- Zone out.

Then come back in and work the groups of two keeping one banished and killing the other.

I've got one Libram of Focus so far this way ... and the vendor trash the drop sells for decent cash too. It's just that if you are dying that will rack up your repair costs. I've also got a fair amount of epic gear / hitpoints so this is easier for me.

ZG Enchant Run

I had a problem where I had a pair of Nemesis Pants and all the completed materials for a ZG enchant (Arcanum of Focus, Hakkari Armsplint, Voodoo Doll) but no one in guild was interested in a run because it was too late.

Fine. So.... Soulstoned myself up and found you can sac VW then ride an epic mount all the way to the top of Zanzil's Rise for the enchant... die there and use SS. When picking a route around the right and over the two bridges is good -- watch out for the 2 pathers (preference is for them to be close to the entrance so you can avoid them) and remember that snakes will be doing less damage to you then trolls. Agro them if you must but stray from large packs of trolls!

Using a SECOND Soul Stone I also found I could get near the Tiger Boss. There is a Hoodoo Pile in a group of Tiger Cubs. You can pull these solo and kill them and then grab the Hoodoo Pile. Too often these contain nothing though. :( This might be a good option for a skinner however to get leather.

Re: Crazy Warlock Solo Runs

Thanks for all the goodideas. I have been soloing Templars in Silithus for a while and am getting a little bored. My guild spends most of their time running BGs, which are not generally my favorite way to spend my time. (Fun, but a game within the game, not THE game IMO).

Re: Crazy Warlock Solo Runs

Hi,
i saw a video of a lock who farmed Wrapwood in db east solo. He used a CoD run CoD run ... technique.

Getting to Wrapwood should be easy, you can sneak your way through without fighting any mobs.

Wrapwood is choped down like that:
- jump on the left guard rail of the ram that leads down to wrapwood
- Send VW on mob,
- CoD mob
- run awaay run awaaay, up the guard rail and right.
- as the VW nears death - sacrifice it if you can Wrap will now go after you
- when he's almost i range jump down the to where he stood run to the rail and jump on the other side of the rail doing it all again on the other side now
- after a minute referesh the CoD
- keep running around

i've tried this a couple of times but never got the timing right or was interrupted by one of the elite ghosts flying around.
However, it can be seen in the outro of an Arathi Basin PvP Video.
check it out. it will give you a better understandin go the process

Re: Crazy Warlock Solo Runs

But how do you avoid the giant trees and Lasher pulls at the bottom? You're talking about the last boss in DM East right?
