When should I ditch Sunken Temple at start BRD/DM, etc ?

I am about to hit 54 Demonology spec'd Melee 'Lock....
At what point am I viable in a pickup group for something other than Sunken Temple?
Do I need a few more levels? (55, 56, 57?)

54 / 55 is fine for BRD.

Maraudon might still be a good choice too but it seems rare that a group heads that way.

Many parties will be leery of letting someone lower than 60 into their DM / Scholo / Strath raids. Due to that the fastest you can get to 60 the better to be truthful.

In another level I'd head to Silithus... just grind there as it is a great place now for faction, money (selling Cultists sets and texts), Essence of Air from Dust Stormers... lots of good stuff if it doesn't kill you.

**cough, cough** Let me reveal my newbishness here but....how exactly do I get into Silithus ?
I went all over the western wall of Un'Goro trying to find a way but couldn't.
Am I attempting to approach from the wrong territory?

Yep! From Un'goro Crater. The path up is more along the north than the west.

It's very close to the Northwest corner. But yes hard to find!

BRD is cool at 54, you could do DM East at 54/55 if your group is nice. I've taken a 53 priest through there. North and West are prolly not till 58.

Anyone else like the new improved 1.9 DM North? It is quite a challenge now. I don't suggest anyone under 58 and really believe all 60s are better. Aggro radius has changed and the mobs call for back up now which makes crowd control very important.

My usual group of friends did DM North Tribute last night.
We have done it successfully in the past with no problems, but had a much harder time last night

We also noticed that the "Eyes" appear to have more hp than they used to.
We had summoned elite demons show up on us several times.

That was ok though, I just enslaved one of themÃ‚

That is kind of how we work it...

Warr
Priest
Mage
Lock
Hunter/Rogue

At the 4 packs near the end I enslave one and banish the other...Mage handles one and we burn the 4th. Sometimes when we feel lucky the Priest MCs and I enslave and we have some fun.
