Switching to grind mode

Up until now(level 35) I have solo'd pretty much all of the time and found levelling to be rather easy. Most of my levelling has been done by doing quests or fromt he exp eraned while working on a quest. I had heard it mentioned elsewhere that there is a point where just straight grinding become a more efficient method of earning exp then turning in quests.

I am 35 and pretty much done all the quests in Southshore and Arathi Highlands. Last night I tried heading to badlands to grind on mobs 35-37. At an average of 240xp per kill and something like 77K xp needed for level that seemed like an awfully slow rate of progress.

I find myself bumbling around when I log on with no real idea of where to head out to hunt. I'm alliance BTW.

Re: Switching to grind mode

Have you visited Stranglethorn Vale yet? I personally hate grinding, I did enough of it in EQ that unless it's that last bubble to ding, I flat out refuse to do it. I played a few Alliance characters and never once had to, always had heaps of quests to go. I actually find Horde have less choices in area's.

At 35 though, you should deffiantely check out STV if you haven't, massive amounts of quests there. Also Desolace is another good one. Also too, instances are a great way to get a bit of XP up, at 35 you could try SM, although may need a level or two...

Re: Switching to grind mode

STV is the place. If you are going to grind, make sure you have about two or three levels on your mobs.

Personally, I don't grind. But I will farm materials. Splitting hairs, I know, but I feel like I am doing something productive farming materials.
