I'm in love with Un'Goro! (47+ solo'ists dream)

After spending many many hours chasing all over the world for 1 quest here, 1 quest there, doing my damnedest to avoid the evils of grouping, dungeons, and xp grinding the last few levels 45-48 I stumbled onto Un'Goro crater! Wow, what a wonderful zone. Almost every zone I've been in since 30 has been so packed with red wandering mobs (badlands, tanaris, searing gorge, blasted lands, and the worst of all The Hinderlands) that I'd almost given up on the WoW devs having any sense at all regarding zone design. Then I discover this wonderful place.

I have run through about 50% of the zone three times, and never accidentally aggroed a mob, let alone died. Most mobs seem to be statics, or at least few and far between enough that you can just avoid the patrollers by walking around them.

But this wasnt even the best part.

There are OODLES http://www.thottbot.org/?f=q&cat=Un%27Goro%20Crater of quests here, and most of them dont even require killing anything. You run around the zone foraging things, crystals, plants, dirt, supples, etc. There are lots of kill quests too, and from what I am reading even more quests open up at 49 so I should be able to stay in this zone and get at least 3 levels, if not more. The only downside is there doesnt appear to be any inn, so you cant hearth back to the quest area, and its a LONG run from gadgetzan.

I think a bunch of the collection quests are available at 47, and in all seriousness could be done at level 1 if they let you, so I'd recommend anyone 47-50 go there. I cant wait to start all these quests and really explore the zone.

*I am an Alliance, Human Warlock but I'd be willing to bet this zone will be Crypt's Undead leveling guide, part 16*

Oh I saw several, and they dont seem to have a very big aggro radius. They came pretty close to the tar pits camp a few times and didnt bother me.

Besides thats what pets are for. "You keep him busy Thogrim, I'll go get help..."

They've actually got a pretty tiny agro radius from what I can tell. I was running through to Sithilus the other day and thinking I was a big tough Warlock decided to take one on. The hardest part is catching them, non mounted they are faster than me lol.

Well I got 50 yesterday, and wrapped up all the soloable quests in un'goro except one or two maybe.

One quest there is a MUST DO http://www.thottbot.com/?qu=3844

I started this quest at 50% into level 49 and finished all but the final fight 30% into level 50, and the final fight gives over 7k xp and sweet rewards.

This quest also leads you into Felwood, which is where your 50th Warlock quests begin, and there are a ton of other quests available there. The only rough bit is you are held up there for a while factioning in order to pass thru the tunnel to winterspring. I think it takes about 3 hours of killing deadwood furbolgs and doing the 2 quests involving them to gain 'unfriendly' faction and pass thru unmolested.

This is about a 20 step quest chain, and probably gave close to 50k xp all totaled.

Not to thread hijack, but you don't need to get the good reputation to get through the tunnel - VW sacrifice and soulstone will get you through it. Make sure you get a new VW after you self rez.

I agree though, the Linken quest is pretty cool and a great source of XP and the sword is cool looking.

Is my WoW memory failing me, or wasn't the Crater filled with hostile mobs?

I wasn't very happy there. :(

Been a while since I have been there, my biggest issues were all the dino's when you enter the zone from tanaris and the Elite devilsaurs or whatever they are called. Sneeky things they can be!

.. and they're easily soloable, as long as you have fear hotkeyed.
