Talking Cool Little Crypt - Krom's Crypt!

One of the cool things about World of Warcraft, is not only the game itself, but the little things the creators will include along the way. Things you can find & explore or being at a certain time & place to witness a world premeir opening of new instances.

Well... sometimes, just some times you will find something so very small, what one might think, insignificant. But, alas!... I found something minor, but really cool that the creators put in the game.

Krom's Crypt. YES! Krom's Crypt from the original Conan the Barbarian! If you remember the epic & best, first movie to the Conan movies, you'll remember when he had been relesed from the slavery from prize fighting from his masters & had traveled to a new land. Conan at this point (Early in the movie) is being attacked by wolves, where he climbs a small mountain/mound & falls into a cave/crypt, only to find that it was a King's chamber, where the now deceased & skeletal king sit's lonley on his throne with his servants long dead by his side. Conan, takes the King's sword by his side and kneels before him, delcaring The king his GOD Krom & silently swears alligiance to him.

WELL. here comes the cool bit!

They actually put Krom's crypt into the game! With Krom on his throne, servant's by his side and the sword of Conan. Too cool. Of course there is nothing in the cave but pure athsetics. What was even funnier, is that when I was lower level I was running away from 4 wolves and found the cave!!! LOL

I'm not excatly sure the XY map location, but If you happen to be in the Badlands, run from Kargath to the mountain ridge either between the Hammertoe Digsite/Angor Fortress & the dustbowl....

I gues since I can't excatly tell you where it is, that the more fun of it!

maybe someone could post the excat location of it?... Have fun finding it.

One of my favorite things to do after running instances or smaller raids is unwind by find and exploring "secret" locations in Azeroth. I've found the airport in Dun Morogh (sp), the highest mountain point in Azeroth, a hidden village in the wetlands, an eternal abyss that you must use the "unstuck" feature to get out of, and much more. There's no loot or bosses, no raid needed, just fun exploring and some of the best screenshots I've ever seen.

Awesome! it way too fun to not go out and search for interesting stuff the designers have thrown in the game. I would love to know coordinates (if possible) or where to look for the places you have been & or others have found.

Post away!

Ok...Fly to Loch Modan. take the road north. At the fork, take the left road. Right before the tunnel there's a large tree to the right. Go behind the tree. From there, a TRUE explorer like yourself will discover a path that leads to much adventure. It's a bit tricky but you can do it. have fun!

Re: Cool Little Crypt - Krom's Crypt!

there's a grave or shrine of a fallen warrior somewher eon a peak in the barrens. this was made to honor a personal friend of the creative artists of warcraft. His initials MK can be seen on the altar.
sad but true story

There's a grave in Southshore where Helcular's Revenge takes place that is marked by the creative artists. I don't recall the last name, but the first name is Jesse.

Re: Cool Little Crypt - Krom's Crypt!

my guild has found a way into Mount Hyjal, the unselectable area of the map between Felwood and Winterspring. You can see the three villages Archimonde destroyed (i believe the last we destroyed by infernal summon? theres a huge crater there.), the World Tree, in which Archimonde is encased forever, standing in water so deep you need unending breath just to get to the bottom...and finally, at the end of the road...roadblocks! like those found at construction sights, that say "Blizzard Contruction Co." and "Warning-Under Construction!) on them, with flashing lights! its cool

Re: Cool Little Crypt - Krom's Crypt!

We are all fellow locks here, share coords and locations, locations, locations! I have swam the entire distance around the eastern continent. If you swim around where Quelthalas should be, its all just water and mountains surrounded by completely flat terrain. There is also a rumored GM island north west of teldrassil. To get to it, apparently youd need to have swim potions, life potions, be a durid aquatic and not be afraid to swim your tail off.
