Re: Thaddius (Feugen and Stalagg)
Thaddius ~3,850,000 health Final boss of the abomination wing – T7 legs baby! Feugen’s Abilities Static Field
Power Surge
Phase 1 - Feugen and Stalagg Casters on Stalagg to avoid pushback from Static Charge. Healers be aware of the tank swap so you are not trying to heal an out of range tank. Threat is swapped when they do the magnetic pull, so tanks just continue on their new target. Need to die within at the same time. /sigh Phase 1 Complete, Jump, and Position If you walk off the platform, you are swimming in green poo. You must jump. If you suck at jumping, you are swimming in green poo. If you miss the platform, swim to the back, get out and try again. Thaddius Abilities Chain Lightning
Phase 2 - Thaddius and the Polarity Shift Tank tanks in the middle, right where he starts. When the polarity shift occurs (boss channeling a big ball of lightning) everyone must shift to the other side. If you don’t, you will die, and will damage everyone around you. During Phase 1, keep DPS even so you drop them both at the same time. If the tank leaves the platform, you get a tesla coil ability that hits whole raid for about 7k every second and wipes you. Found that out the hard way. DBM give you a nice double health bar for this so its easy to keep track of both. Once you jump down and engage Thassius, its exactly the same as that boss in Heroic Mech. Or, I should say that boss in Heroic Mech stole the mechanics from Thaddius. You get a positive or negative charge. We had negative on left, positive on right (as you were facing the boss on entering the room). The polarity shifts every 30 seconds or so. Not everyone changes every time, but almost every time. If everyone stands together, you get a nice damage buff. If you stand in the wrong place, you damage everyone and everyone damages you. You die. Don't be that guy. |

Re: Thaddius (Feugen and Stalagg)
This is a pretty decent gear / dps check. (edit; 25 man...Thadius has a boatload of health 20 or 30 million health) opposite charges tick for 4.5k nature and 6 min enrage Try and keep up dots as much as you can and don't refresh your dots while running as you'll loose the static buff (100% extra dam)...which results in a pretty big dps loss. Also for the first timers; drop a demonic circle where you fight the first pair and if you miss the jump, teleport back up and try again. Just be careful you don't get too close to the group until your charge matches that side. Self rezzing and SS don't appear to be possible (you take damage when you don't have a charge) however combat rezzes can be used if the rezzer is away from the group...then rejoin when your charge matches. I think this happened to me one night. I missed the jump from the platform, ran through the goo and made the jump on my second attempt. Checked my charge, had none, so I just ran up and started dps'ing. 5 seconds later I'm dead.

Re: Thaddius (Feugen and Stalagg)
No charge = opposite charge to everyone else. You will get gibbed FAST. If you fall and miss and get back up there wait until another polarity shift before you run in. Also, my pet has a horrible time getting bugged out on the jump. He sticks up on the platform and I have to dismiss/resummon him, very irritating. |

Re: Thaddius (Feugen and Stalagg)
I really wish blizzard would stop making stupid jumping encounters untill they fix the pet pathing problems. We had 8 tries on thaddius 25 man tonite, no amount of petfollow, petattack helped my imp be next to me from the beggining of the fight. He'd come and start shooting fireballs after 1-2 minutes into the fight. It's just stupid. At least give us a way of getting the pet back instantly if we dismiss him first. I can live without the pet for the add fight, but during thaddius he's usefull.(we had one wipe at less than 1%).If i could just insta-summon him when i get on thaddius' platform, it would still be ok. |

Re: Thaddius (Feugen and Stalagg)
This fight is Romulo and Julianne (Kara opera event) plus Mechano-Lord Capacitus (Mechanar boss). One we did on this fight was keep people with negative charges to the left and positive charges to the right. Have each group stack up tight on the melee so everyone gets the dps buff as others have mentioned. When you need to shift you always move to the right so that you don't end up running into other people with a different charge. Another way to handle movement is do to what this guild did. Here is a link to a vid on this fight: YouTube - How to: Thaddius (25-Man) |

My advice: The tank needs a few seconds to build aggro and position. If you jump and re summon on landing, you'll be able to do so in time for him to not wipe people with his polarity shift. Just don't faff. Pet DPS is worth it for the loss of about 5 seconds of DPS time without the buffs. Also jump from the raised rim on the platforms and you'll make the jump easily. If you jump from further in the platform with the mini boss on, you'll fail to make it, while going from the raised lip/rim will get you over provided you're coming on at a good angle. We couldn't get the DPS, we had a few deaths, but got to 16% on one try. I think if people didn't kill themselves so much we'd *just* do it, but this fight has demanded more DPS from us than any other boss we've tried so far. A little more gear and practice and he's easy. We run clockwise when we change polarity at about 5-10 yards. This fight is easy when you know what to do. Unfortunately some people in my raid group don't yet. |

Re: Thaddius (Feugen and Stalagg)
We found the best way for the switch is to run trough boss. At first some of us were against this tactic, we thought it would one-shot people. But if you move the moment you get the buff changed, you don't get or do damage to others. Just forget about casting that spell, even if it means letting haunt drop. MOVE. Just have people stack to the right and left of thaddius, stacking on melee range. His hit box is big enough to not get the damage from the other side, and small enough that it's pretty fast to run trough. I had no problems jumping the platform, just my damn imp had that. I would love to see some wws parses from this fight in 25 mans. I do believe our damage was a little too low for this. At the end of every atempt, we had 3 people in the first 3 places. A ffb mage was always first, with about 6500 dps, and second and third place were split by me (haunt/ruin) and a dk, with about 5500 dps. Problem is no one else passed 4k dps from the others. |
