I found what helped me, with this stupid dance, was to have someone (it was my tank) put up flares marking the 4 sections. Just to kinda give me an idea and than once I saw that I realized about the goo. To go where you saw it last. It really really helped me. Keep your eyes straight and watch the goo and until you can do the dance with no issues there is no reason you should be trying to DPS during this part of it. Your main job is to stay alive. Then, once you are back on the platform burn hin down. I still can not do anything but run and I can't tell you how many times I have been in there without dieing now. I just don't feel comfortable with it and on the rare occasion I have tried I always fall behind and get hit with goo. So my raid would rather have me run and do nothing than die. Hopefully your group feels the same. |

Stay close to the platform during the dance then you don;t have to run as far i find this helps greatly, side note. i spec affliction for this fight as if you run close to the platform i find i can get off unstable affliction and a haunt at each end of the dance, then cast corruption and curse of agony as i run to the other side, usually need to pop shatter on the first dance before he comes back down though or he hits me with his stick for around 19k |

This is more of a survival instance than DPS. If you are having problems dying then your DPS will be meaningless. Stand on the platform closest to the entrance, so you can get into place ASAP once Helgan teleports. Then run to the last point where the lava wave hit, while looking at where the lava is so you can have a reference point to run next. Rinse/ repeat. Remember you do not DPS while you are dead. |
