Last night i was in kara, and myself and the other lock in the group both drain souled the same mob (nothing new here) but was new is that we BOTH had that "drain soul lag" where you can move, jump around, but do absolutly NOTHING.
He attempted to wait it out, while i just alt+ F4'd
well, after 1st getting back in and seeing Thrallmar.. i was understandaly "WTF?????" guildies advised me to just fly to dark portal and meet up in kara.
when i couldnt see the flightmaster or any other NPC.. i was a little.. wierded out, kinda The Exorist wierded out. So yet again, i relogged. and came back... to NOTHING!
The loading screen showed me kara, but this.. was not the kara that i knew.

So, question, does this make ME a Voidwalker now?

I have been there before. I was in Shadowlabs, did somehting funky got DCed, then into the abyss, like your SS. The login screen said I was in Arathi Highlands. I relogged and I was in Arathi Highlands LOL. Relogged again and ended up back in SL. Talk about flashbacks.

saw someone posting at another board about disconnecting in wetlands and when he logged back in all he could see was sunset background and empty space. his minimap showed him being in the barrens

You clearly souldrained yourself...

Try heartstoning or auto-unstucking, or get someone to summon you / reboot.

LOL, well, funnily enough, my loading screen showed kara, so they were able to summon me from the nether to kara. still... not the kind of thing you really want happening on a day to day basis

I had the same thing happen in AV in the middle when I fell down a hole and actually saw my dreadsteed fall farther down until it was a dot. I read that they fixed this in the new patch

Happenend to a guildie in Shadow Labs. She got touched by Murmur, didn't make it to the tent before it went off. She got blown into the air, then never stopped falling. She tried logging, nothing took her out of the void. We ended up summoning her outside the instance, and then finishing off Murmur.

Same happened to me had with HMagT ended up having to call gm cause no one in guild could summon me (no other locs and none able to summon me at any instance stones since highest was 47 at the time) and I couldn't hearth due to the fact that it said I was moving.

Almost the same thing happened to my girlfriend. She was sprinting (with her rogue) inside the in in Auberdine and she fell through the world. She just kept falling and cound't log out or use autounstuck or anything because she was still moving.

She had to log on to another char and petion the GM so they could move her.
It looked scarry i tell
