Lord Kazzak in SW

I know this video has been kicking around forever, but for anyone who's never seen it, check out:

I kinda wish Blizz would implement random things like this on a regular basis. Maybe not on this scale (I think it required a server reset?), but something to break up a predictable day of WoW.

Maybe a GM takes control of a boss and wipes out Goldshire or Crossroads, or any part of any zone for that matter. A different boss in a different spot each time, random servers... nobody would ever see it coming. It would keep you looking over your shoulder, and in my opinion, be very cool.

Any thoughts or other ideas to spice up Wow?

I've always thought that random attacks on neighboring cities would be an awesome addition to wow. Just the occasional invasion of the Horde on Stormwind, or some out lying city. I mean, the Alliance and Horde are at war right? yet no wheres in Azeroth do i see any actual battle, aside from player vs player fights. I wanna see the Alliance armies charge the Crossroads every now and then, and get repelled by Horde NPCs. I wanna see this fight escalate as players on both sides join in!

Just a complete random breakout of war. I want more of that.

Yes large scale world PvP would be sweet. Imagine if they put in a daily (hell even weekly) quest that required you to cap/destroy some random spawn deep in the opposing factions land. Or gave rewards for occupying enemy cities for a certain amount of time. Or allow sides to summons raid bosses to help fight. Or let us use seige weapons to blow down city walls.

Anthing that would encourage large scale world pvp outside a BG would make my year.

Capture-able cities would be good. A Ratchet or Booty Bay or somewhere that you can kill all the other factions NPCs and then if you can hold the town for 15 minutes, your NPCs spawn and defend it. Give it a minimum time, so once it is captured, it remains in your faction's control for 8 or 12 hours or so.

The only real problem with this, and the biggest reason IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN, is there are too many servers with unbalanced populations. What good is a battle with a real objective when Alliance outnumbers Horde 3 to 1? Or the other way around.

Some of your ideas are in the works. Outdoor PvP with siege engines and buildings that can be destroyed is in Wrath of the Lich King. There will be an entire zone of this. The Sunwell raid instance will have some bosses that have to be unlocked by quests. Not a single quest, but a server wide effort on daily quests.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing some random NPC rampaging thru Orgrimmar or Undercity. There would need to be some kind of reward for doing it, kind of like a Rend or Ony buff or something. If you do some damage/healing in the fight, you get the buff. Course that means if it wipes out people its coming for you, lol.

Did you forget Halaa? That is a capturable city, but I guess it gets forgotten because one side controls it most of the time. It would be cool to have random attacks on cities though, kind of like how they used to do it with those elementals attacking back before The Burning Crusade. Maybe have a yell from a faction leader and then a large attack on the main city happens. The capturable towers in Hellfire and EPL were kind of cool but I think they needed to have a few NPCs to make it enjoyable for when there isn't anyone there defending it. Standing in one spot for 3 minutes watching a bar slowly move across is kind of boring.

I remember being in SW (back on my alliance character) when someone kited the World Dragon to the city and it was wreaking havok. It was enjoyable to try to kill it, though my level 32 spells weren't doing much, hehe. And yes I got killed a few times and had to run all the way from the Loggers graveyard, but I still thought it was cool to see this big thing kill the trade zone of SW, hehe.

Senseless random things would be cool too:

People using a summoning stone will occasionally summon something other than the intended person (magic can be dangerous and unpredictable you know). Imagine a 20 foot tall Murloc briefly serenading you on the bagpipes before he vanishes.

Re: Lord Kazzak in SW

Come to Magtheridon in Europe, the Horde invade Stormwind/IF on a weekly basis ... and we respond by invading Og/UC usually.
Its not unusual for the Horde to have three or four full raid groups inside SW; but then there are three Horde for every Alli on our server.
Just needs a bit of organisation - start on trade channels, and its surprising how quickly you can get a raid together!
As for Halaa, used to be every night, but I haven't been there for ages - suppose I don't need any of the gear on offer.
Random events would be fun tho, bring it on!
