Just a quick Lock Sketch
I posted this up in the album, but I thought I'd share it in an actual post seeing as I don't see those gallery thumbnails on the bottom of the main page anymore. That was a neat feature I hope Akasha brings back.
![]() As I stated in my gallery post, this is the first time I've had a chance to play with a Tablet PC and Photoshop. I've used regular Wacom tablets before, but trust me, when your drawing on the actual screen its a completely different experience. There is a bit of a learning curve, I'm finding, in that the screen is so smooth it becomes a little difficult to gauge the pen pressure for thick/thin lines. There is no resistance or friction as you would get from some other tablets or pencil on paper. A small detail that you wouldn't expect would matter much, but I feel that it does. Also, the thickness of the monitor glass means that the pen and actual image are separated by a few millimeters, again something that wouldn't matter much except that I like to rotate my canvas (in this case the tablet pc) as I work and when viewed from different angles, those few millimeters grow to several more. At some points it looked like my pen tip was a quarter of an inch away from where my lines were actually drawn. Still, it is far superior to regular tablets where you draw on the table while looking up on the monitor to see what exactly your doing. My only question is, do I go out and get my own tablet PC, or purchase one of those new Wacom Tablets that are essentially wireless monitors with a pen. Hmm... I don't see any obvious evidence of tablet pc difficulties here! It's really cool, Pernicious, keep up the good work

Re: Just a quick Lock Sketch
I love it, but I have to make a humor nit pick.
In keeping with the traditional bum sign of "Will work for food" I think the sign would be funnier if it read "Will fear for buff food" but that is a little more wordy......anyway, fantastic work. |

Oooh my bad, Yeah i see it there. I could've sworn I saw it on the home page at one point. That's where I kept looking. I tend to not visit the actual forum page that often, Since I'm frequently on the site usually all the newest info is on the Today's Posts area of the home page.
