Congrat!!! I have always enjoyed doing that quest

There seems to be something very odd about a gnome riding a horse ;) How in the heck did that vertically challenged toon get on that dang horse? Does he carry a step ladder ;) also, might be hard to control the beast when your feet barely pass the horses main *snicker*

Hahaha, I always had the mental impression that the gnome somersaulted onto the steed. As for controlling the Felsteed/Dreadsteed, willpower is enough! The mount is intelligent enough to know where you wish to go ;P As for normal horses, I can't think of a theory.

Congrats!! I know that when I got mine and that last fight was finally over and we were all standing around the circle I felt like credits should be rolling up my screen! Good times! Still the best looking riding mount in the game in my opinion (though I may be a bit bias)...

Am i the only one who is a little sad that they are just giving it away for "free" to everyone?.

Re: Dreadsteed - He's just awesome

Oh please let's not derail another thread with discussing if it's a good/bad thing they changed the Dreadsteed quest. Do a search, there's threads already for that discussion.

- Dreadsteed Quest gone? with 80 replies
- Dreadsteed Mount to become trainable! with another 18

Congrats on getting your evil, mighty steed. I just got mine last week as well, and it feels great.

And just to respond to exa, the new dreadsteed is far from free. You'll have to shell out 500g for your epic land mount training.

Re: Dreadsteed - He's just awesome

ooh I didnt even know they removed the quest line for the dreadstead. Getting that was simply part of being a warlock back then ;-)

Just as the long quest line for getting summon doomguard - totally useless (apart for the occational fun of russian roulette) but I wouldn't feel like a proper lock without it

Re: Dreadsteed - He's just awesome

Last I heard, they're leaving the quest in, but it will likely be even tougher to get a group together to get it done.

Re: Dreadsteed - He's just awesome

@Annaria: Though we are going slightly off-topic ... look at this thread :
Doomguard tank

The Doomguards are now awesome ... one of the things that is making me love being a 'lock again... and will probably have to make a dash for that 'lock mount too in the next days, since I was one of the slackers that level'd to 60 just when The Burning Crusade came out and never got my act together... but big GZ to Dieste...

My main gripe with the warlock epic mount is that male orcs look cr++ on it...

although with T5 it isnt quite so bad.
