Re: Thorim - Boss Strat

My pet is usually on passive during Guantlet on Thorim so he doesn't start attacking something sheeped. And yes, I always have already attacked the boss when I tell him to follow since I cast CoD and Corruption on the boss as I'm jumping down and I'd rather teleport him when I'm already in position.

Ya know what? If you get stuck on Arena duty to provide extra AOE; That new Void Walker Sacrifice bubble is one of the best things they have ever invented. Sure you won't have your best DPS, but its better than being dead. If you're Demonology spec its even better with all the physical damage mitigation and the ability to insta-summon another demon in phase 3.

OK, that's the the part of the trick then. It cannot be a "follow" by itself. It must be preceded by some sort of tagging of the boss.

I tried this over a weekend Naxx10 run to gear up some guild alts on Thaddius and on Gluth and it worked repeatably that way too when I cast a curse or something on the boss first.

So the steps would be more generalizable to

1. Tag the boss -
Either tell pet to attack (CTRL-1) or have already hit the boss with your own offensive spell
2. Hit Pet Follow (CTRL-2, Pet Now Appears by your side)
3. Depending on fight, attack with Pet (CTRL-1)

Where Step 1 is what I think most people are missing in the instructions when they say they can't make it work.

Re: Thorim - Boss Strat

I always run the gauntlet with my imp on defensive, when I get to Thor, drop a COD & Corr as I jump and hit follow once and the imp is always next to me when I hit the arena floor.
