Ulduar nerfs

......... again

  • The Yogg-Saron encounter has received the following changes: Death Ray no longer hits players who are under the effect of Malady of the Mind, Guardians of Yogg-Saron no longer use Dominate Mind, the spawn rate of Guardians of Yogg-Saron is more forgiving, and these Guardians will no longer spawn if a player that is protected by Hodir’s Flash Freeze hits an Ominous Cloud.
  • In the opening sequence of Ulduar you can now see Liquid Pyrite from farther away.
  • The Flame Leviathan encounter has received the following changes: the bonus health Flame Leviathan receives per tower has been reduced, the ejection height from Flame Leviathan has been reduced, the snare effect of the Tower of Frost has been removed, and the cannons on Demolishers and Siege Enginers should now break Flash Frozen vehicles in 1 shot.
  • The XT-002 Deconstructor encounter has received the following changes: the health of the heart has been slightly reduced in heroic difficulty and the rate at which Gravity Lapse and Searing Light are cast has been reduced.
honestly was 4T that bad that it had to nerfed? I haven't tried it up cept with 2 towers but yea it didn't seem that harsh, esp since all of us walked out alive. ditto to Yogg's encounter

Re: Ulduar nerfs

Perhaps a large loot pinata at the entrance that spawns hourly would be a more effective way to implement their changes... or they could just auto-mail out the loot from the bosses directly to our mailbox and save us the flight. *sigh*

challenge = fun.

TBH, it really irritates me that they do things like this. people QQ too much. "My guild can't down the bosses", "These fights are too hard", etc. ... obviously it can be (and has been) done before these nerfs ... come on Blizz, keep it challenging.

Re: Ulduar nerfs

imo, the encounters should be even harder so they keep people busy! now people just farm ulduar within only one month of the patch release

Re: Ulduar nerfs

The idea of having a "hard mode" on Ulduar boss fights was a GREAT one. Raids can select their own difficulty. If it's gonna be hard, though, make it HARD, don't keep nerfing it to the ground. Let the raiders get the sense of accomplishment from doing something truly difficult.

Hard mode should NEVER equal "farming for better loot."

I'm very unhappy about the Yogg Phase1 nerf.

Re: Ulduar nerfs

I actually agree with you guys. My guild is very casual, only 7/14 Ulduar cleared and only running 10 man, but even we were disappointed when the trash leading to Ignis got the massive nerfs. That stuff is a joke now. Blizz does all of this work and testing, then just flushes their plans down the toilet when a few people complain (reminds me 24 hours of 3.1 conflag glory).

Re: Ulduar nerfs

This "nerf" issue has gotten pretty sad, and progressively worse as the game of WOW continues on..

BLizzard has basically taken the attitude "how can we keep the most people happy, and keep them as paying customers.."

Asnwer: Give them what they want... This game has become nothing but whiny people demanding instant gratification, and Blizzard has bought into it..

I like the pre BC days when having epics actually took effort, and meant something.
