Doomgaurd
More of a OMG YOU CAN DO THAT spell, is there really any utility to this spell at all? It seems blizzard has forgotten about our temporary summons all together, providing no gear that reduces their chance of breaking enslave, no moments where warlocks temp summons really shine in a raid. Its really sad, but it is the truth about Demon magic, its very powerful, and very dangerous.
I guess my question is, do you think blizzard should gear a little bit of content around using our temp pets, especially doomgaurd? If they made a weapon that's effect says that all enslaves last At least 5 minutes before they have a chance of breaking, I would use infernal every chance I get, and Doomgaurd everytime I was in a group. |

Re: Doomgaurd
Every day,I use the ogre camo found in Dire Maul and summon an infernal and a doomguard to a lowbies area. They have great fun (the doomguard is their favorite),since it's like a raid for them: they drop like flies, but they always win eventually...with the help of a couple of guards maybe.
But the thing has really no use during questing: even if you set your mind straight to the goal of spawning doomguards with CoD (at night),you will lose faith after you notice that the demon lasts less than 2 minutes and eats good chunks of your health every time it breaks enslavement. It is sad. They should really improve Improved Enslavement so that 2 points in it would greatly affect the Doomguard and Infernal enslavability. |

Re: Doomgaurd
Its not just that though, it seems they just threw in the spells for fun, instead of a practical use (except for pvp, doomgaurds are nuts in pvp), even in raid instances and things where you would think having such a great monster would be an amazing thing. They give no armor or talents which improve the ability to keep these monsters tame, or any quest items which allow you to use the summons without it breaking.
I don't know. I just wish blizzard was a bit more considerate. |
