TBC expanded pet abilities
The final level (60+) of many pet abilities, which can be trained via grimoires only in The Burning Crusade, get an extra kind of bonus to their normal one. This is not news nor a guide, but some guys like me might have not noticed it at first and I hope they may like to suggest some clever use of them as well. Note that all these buffs and debuffs do not last much, forbidding the systematic summoning of new minions to stack them.
Imp Fire shield: also increases fire resistance by 30. Voidwalker Consume shadows: also increases pet AP by 200. Suffering: also reduces chance to hit by 10%. Succubus Soothing Kiss: also reduces melee attack speed by 10%. |

If you have Imp Imp then the fire resistance on imp goes to 39.

Re: TBC expanded pet abilities
but that doesn't matter now. I mean about resistance - it don't stack with pally / shammy aura / totem. So only use is at fighting fire elementals :D

Re: TBC expanded pet abilities
It is good if you are fighting illhoof without a pally in your group, i put fire shield on my party before we start. i think that is being fixed in the patch, allowing MoTW to stack with others, but i'm not sure.

Re: TBC expanded pet abilities
I believe that this is an old tooltip issue. I remember back when I was diong MC/bwl on my shaman I had the same issue with Fire Resistance totem not stacking with MotW. I eventually ran across a post in the raid & dungeons forum where alot of respectable raiders said that it was a tooltip error and that they researched it alot. They claimed that internally the two were stacking correctly, but the FR that was displayed to your character page wasn't. I would imagine this would be the same but I could be wrong.

check out post nine - sounds like tooltip bugs are not being worked on. Quote:

Re: TBC expanded pet abilities
You would think that an issue since beta would get some attention. Given that it hasn't, I would assume it a game-breaking issue that was overlook in design, the potential for talents to modify spells. If its been in this long, its here to stay, and I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Re: TBC expanded pet abilities
Back on topic: I was thinking that maybe introducing these changes sooner (level 1+), could help with situations where the warlock is partied with just a couple un-matched classes in order to do quests. Minus attack speed for casters' only party and minus chance to hit for rogues on tanking. The bonuses still wouldn't be that useful in solo.
