68 Elite FG FTW

I have never been a huge fan of enslaved demons. Just didn't like it they are weak compared to my minions most of the time. Yesterday while in nagrand my mind changed. I enlsaved the 68 elite FG legionare from Camp: Hate. This guy is a freakin hoss. Mine had 23k HP's I proceeded to solo the three bosses for the mastery quests. My guildie stood in amazement. My new found friend was hitting for 1300-1500. I also tanked a couple of misc elite giants that roam nagrand also. I looked for the really big guy but I couldn't find him, Dunn the something i think is his name.

I did run into some problems with him turning on me.. cause his hits really hurt but it was worth it.

Yeah, they are great for doing that quest line and assaults on Halaa.

They definatly won't be able to solo Durn the Hungerer. It took me 6 people to down him (my group + a mage on the side).

I did the exact same thing to complete the four elite mastery quests from Nesingwary, as well as part of Altruis the Sufferer's Quest chain (if only I could enslave an elite and bring it in Shattrath...). I never had a felguard break on me--this may be because I always through Curse of Shadows on first (no, I did not waste talent points in Imp. Ens. Demon).

Can't wait to try it out again when the patch comes out.

Yeah this is a blast to do. I read about it first on thottbot and tried it. Then found others here using it. Those guys are awesome for anything you need to kill nearby, including the unwary hordies! LOL My guildies also freak out with joy when they think i was just committing suicide when running up to these beasts and then run back to them with an elite demon that can solo other elites in the area. Good times for sure!

It is rather fun !

You can solo those mastery mobs with a plain old ordinary felguard.

Just dot it up a few times, and use health funnel to keep the FG up. works a treat !!! Solo'd the whole nessingwary line that way after reading in here somewhere about that strategy...

I can't solo elites with my normal felguard anymore, as I pull aggro off of him too quickly.

I was using this guy to kill 4 at a time at legion hold in shadowmoon valley. He has an AoE, cleave, and crits for 3k+

There is another pit lord you can enslave north west of Stormspire in netherstorm - he was fun till he got stuck on something durring a fight!
