Trying to not break seduce
I'm a new pvp'er and have a simple question. If I'm using my succy in a BG, what is the best way to use her? I want her, obviously, to seduce, but I don't want to break it.
If I seduce first and then dot, will this break the seduce? If so, am I better off dotting and then seducing to avoid breaking seduce? I have had a similar issue with fear in that if I dot first and then fear, everything is good. But if I fear and then dot, there seems to be an increased risk of breaking fear. Thanks for the help! |

Re: Trying to not break seduce
Any damage will break seduce, as will someone silencing your Succi. Fear duration is random, up to 12s on the first fear, up to 6s on the 2nd, and up to 3s on the third. In most PvP situations, I consider myself lucky if I even get 6 seconds on the first. Combine with CoEx or CoT to keep them gimped after the fear/seduce for best effect.

Re: Trying to not break seduce
If any damage will break seduce, then is seduce only really good for getting some distance between you and the other player for bandaging and/or nuking?

Re: Trying to not break seduce
It can also be used as an interrupt, but you really need good timing to use it that way.

Re: Trying to not break seduce
Seduce is great for:
Solo guarding nodes in AB (seduce #1, fear #2) Breaking stun locks (seduce rogue after receiving gouge/kidney shot) Splitting up FC team in WSG (Seduce healer, CoEx if you have it; hopefully FC will keep running right out of heal range). Seduce Nuke (mainly for Destro spec locks - Seduce, CoE, Soul Fire, immolate, conflag, Seduce, CoS, Sbolt, Sburn, Seduce, Sbolt, Death Coil, Sbolt; for example) Healer interrupt (CoT on healer, seduce once the fire up a big heal) -------------- Basically, anytime you need an extra CC, the Succi can help. The downside is that most competent PvPers will kill her quickly (she has low armor/HP), so the Felhunter (or Felguard) is a much more common competitive PvP pet. -Gritz |

Re: Trying to not break seduce
I've been using the Godlike Seduction macro which works pretty well, and I find it almost a must when you're dealing with two opponents.
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...sid=1&pageNo=1 Seduce saves me all the time at this level against melee classes. When you get jumped, hit your button, use a trinket to get away, bandage if you need to, and start the fight - this way, on your terms ![]() I use serial seduction, as described in one of the posts above against fear immune classes; it's been so far the most sucessful strategy for me against warriors - seduce and nuke, repeat. Everything works well with the Succy, of course, unless someone hits her and interrupts her, but as far as players actually killing her? I find that rare, no more common than players killing my hunter's pet in the BGs. It sounds like some of the pet choices have a lot to do with the level bracket you're in. Whereas a felhunter is a great anti-caster pet, not recalling right now what other abilities he gains after the 30s, he may become a little more useful later on. I enter every BG with the Succy and check the roster. If I saw that the opposing team consisted of a good amount of casters; I'd definitely change to the Fel puppy. But that never happens. BGs are always full of rogues, hunters and warriors at my level - did I mention rogues? But that's an experience of someone who has only run the 19s, 29s and 39s with her lock so far. So, I usually always run BGs with the Succy unless I'm out of shards and then it's Imp on agressive - a total blast in its own way :D Last edited by Seduktra; June 19, 2007 at 07:11 PM.. |
