Pet damage scale change

Not sure if anyone has really noticed this minor change or not, or really how long it has been out, but I noticed it last night.

Pet damage, and spell damage, is now increased via the warlock's Shadow Damage. Last time I checked this, it was the warlock's Fire damage that buffed up the pet, not Shadow.

This is good for me because I have more Shadow than Fire damage with my gear.

Re: Pet damage scale change

Nothing has changed. The scale is based on your -highest- spell school damage. If both are equal, it will reference fire damage, because fire is listed before shadow.

Thus, both firelocks and shadowlocks get the same pet scaling.

My guildmate is a fellow demonologist who is (gasp) firestone specced. She stacks fire damage and gets just as much pet bonus as I do (well, aside from the fact that I have more shadow than she has fire).

Re: Pet damage scale change

I did notice a change too, but, in my case was in shadow bolt, isnt it doing more damage?

I never use shadow bolt for lvling, iam level 32 now, and i noticed that, 2 shadow bolts now kill the mobs i was at and it used to take more...

I dont know if it really changed or is it cause i am level 32 today and not 31, but, i wouldnt say a level diference would make my shadow bolt it that harder.

So, if they didnt change, well i wasnt paying ask much atention as needed.
