Seduction

Hey guys, I am the FNG here. I was reading one of these fine posts and the person writing it said, "seduce until you have the freedom of movement again". That kind of implies that it is something that I can control. I am under the impression that my Succubus is in charge of that talent. Am I missing something? No need to flame me, I said I was the new guy. Someone hook a brotha up please.....

Re: Seduction

You can control when she uses the ability. For example, you are stunned by a rogue. While you are stunned, you instruct your Succubus to seduce said rogue. Stun wears off, target is still seduced, and you can now get some distance and blow up the attacking rogue.

Re: Seduction

Googley, you can turn seduce off of auto-cast by right-clicking on the seduce button in your petbar. Most pvpers do this and bing the seduce button to a key so they can do it whenever they want

As you gain knowledge of your pets abilities, you should turn them off so they do not use them as and when they see fit (unless of course the situation calls for it). You should control the use of your pet's ability (when to use what) to aid you. Your pet is like your sidekick.

Check out the macro topics which would allow easy use of your pet's ability with a few hot keys... Hope this helps.

Re: Seduction

Does seduce work on undead as well as say human or orc etc?
Since "greater detect invisibility" has been dropped & rogues "invisibility" is "stealth" which by definition means we should be able to either detect it or penetrate it, though it doesn't happen.
The rogues know they can get away with this because with felhunter out & using perception i still have no warning & get stunned & taken down from 10K health to 0 before it breaks & even using a trinket doesn't break the "stun" & blizzard seems to like it that way!

secude still works on undeads but Will of the Forsaken gives 5 secs immunity from it (Will of the Forsaken then hit death coil then shadowfury then reseduce works well if destro).

detect invisibility does not help you see rogues as they are stealthed. it is a nice extra (semi-useless) buff that may be dispelled in stead of something more useful (like felarmour). it also allows you to see other locks succy`s and mages if they are invis.

paranoia from the felhunter will allow you to see a rogue first but ONLY if you are facing the right direction. Hint: if you know there is a rogue about run around spinning like a madman, its rare a rogue will get the jump on you doing this IF you are fast enough.

Also, another hint on using the succy. try to time a seduce on your opponent so that whatever stun you have been hit by just wears off as the seduce lands. (ie. if sapped, do not seduce immediately, wait till 2/3 seconds left then seduce the target).

Re: Seduction

Thanks for the info i will try succy next time.
Why i asked was that i went to farm primal airs in SMV last night & an undead rogue jumped me. I had void out (i have just respecced to afflict. to raid & am still getting a handle on afflict. farming) so i popped void as shield & waited till stun went down D/Ced it but that didn't work but in the process fell off the ledge & onto 1 further down. I was well down on health at this point but had no debuffs (poison etc) so i went to summon mount to get away so i could heal up but died anyway. It was a seriously odd encounter.
I ran back & could see why he didn't come down as i had fallen a fair way & he would have to fly down to get me so i jumped down & ressed & got out felhound, mounted up & went to a different part of the same area to farm again.
I landed & dismounted but didn't even get to select a target before i was stunned again. I used my alliance trinket to remove stun & went to step back & D/C him but my trinket didn't work my pet attacked him & did a whole 133 damage (according to my combat log...it also didn't mention my trinket but said i "failed to cast deth coil: reason stunned")to him before i died.

I am beginning to seriously wonder about the discrepancies in the game. When its like you don't even cast death coil, even though the cool down timer operates to show you did, & you get no "resist" message or anything yet it has no affect on the other player or the trinket out of fear/stun etc that was meant to stop this stun/lock until death system but when they don't work on selected players it makes you wonder why blizz bothered to even set it up.
Even if you lodge a ticket to say spell "xyz" or whatever didn't operate (this only happens to me in PVP & only on some players not against NPCs) & it doesn't show in your combat log even though the cool down timer shows it was cast. The reply is "we'll investigate" & you never get a response.

Re: Seduction

It sounds to me like your trinket wasnt equipped. So when you thought you were using the trinket to get out of the stun, you actually weren't and thus you couldnt use your death coil (because you were stunned).
