Wow that quest was annoying.

The sccubus quest to hard get it. I could not find the warlock in the barrens so It said by the village so I tryed to stay as far away from the village but I still went to close and the guards attacked me killed and put me into pvp then three hunters killed me(by the way did I tell you that I dislike hunters) then I fund him and had to fight the warlocks I just kept dieing so I got a 59 rogue to help and I fillally did it then I kill the sccubus. Thats what happens when you try to get a girl demon it took forever, Sorry just had to tell you. So go ahead call me a noob for it being so hard whatever lol.

Re: Wow that quest was annoying.

I actually had fun on this quest.

I did it at level 22 and when I was talking to the guy in the Barrens a 29 Troll mage came up to me. We fought and I kicked his troll butt. It was fun. He came back for another round while I was healing up (I couldn't hearth) and we were about even until I was ganked by another Horde that decided to walk up behind me.

All in all a rather fun time.

Re: Wow that quest was annoying.

One of my freinds on the game showed me the way lol.(we went dustwallow march through so we died a few times lol)

And we got to kill a couple horde (same level of course no ganking or anything like that lol)

I had a lot of fun doing that quest.

Funny thing, when I saw the subject of the post my immediate thought was "yeah it was" without actually knowing which quest he was referencing.

Re: Wow that quest was annoying.

Download and install the mod (Titan Panel) at this link:
http://wowui.incgamers.com/ui.php?id=1442

Search this quest/item database for coordinates as needed:
http://thottbot.com/

There are other mods and sites that will acomplish the same things but I highly encourage using coordinates and databases to save time and frustration.

I have a warlock human and undead. The human quest is far harder. Don't know what the logic is behind it?

Re: Wow that quest was annoying.

A right pain of a quest on a PVP server, but really quite easy on a PVE server, although the warlocks are too hard if you attempt the quest solo at lvl20.

Re: Wow that quest was annoying.

I remember doing this quest in my 20's in early 2005.
It was the first time ever that I had to move into ennemy territory, and it was scary as hell
When I crossed the Ashenvale border and entered Barrens I didn't know what I had to expect.
Music changed from lovely elfic melody to an orcish tribal sound.
I felt lost!
Wow was young and I hadn't seen any horde toon before, so the first level 11 orc I came across I ran away and hid behind a tree, lol.

(I didn't know anything about PVP and PVE so I did not know what to expect in enemy lands)
When the Crossroads camp came in sight, I moved around it at 2 miles distance then staid on the road to the south, when suddenly a level 26 (!) troll ran towards me and followed me all the way south.
I think he was just as curious as me and was wondering what this little human girl was running around in those lands.

(Remember, Wow was just like two weeks old so every cross-faction encounter could have been a first-time)
I safely arrived at the tent with my quest in my pocket, validated the quest and instantly hearted out...to Westfall...opened my questbook and had a sheer heart attack when I saw the word 'Ashenvale' in the follow-up quest.

All in all this was surely one of my most intense moments in early Wow - trying to cross Wetlands without dying, taking the boat for the first time, discovering a new continent, all alone in enemy territory, feeling lost and vulnerable, so I have to disagree with the OP: No this quest wasn't annoying at all ;)

Re: Wow that quest was annoying.

Yea i remember my first trip to kalimdor with my Warrior (yea he was my first char) in the quest to get to a lost island, to get the berserker stance or something like that. i checked the coords in thottbot, and when i look at the map i thought "wow that is a long trip from Theramore"

I walked near the mountains in the Barrens, hoping to avoid all the deadly encounters with the hordies, and my heart was beating at 100mph, amazed for seeing the nice views and strange creatures, and scared to death from the horde.

Good times, m8s... Good times.

Re: Wow that quest was annoying.

Worst class-related quest for me was the felhunter quest as Horde.

Trying to farm the Wetlands drops on a full PvP server as an orc was less than fun. Took me 3 days of ninja logins and logouts.

I didn't find the human succy quest difficult at all in comparison, but that was probably because I already knew the barrens pretty well at that point.
