Are your Pets famous?
Got a lot of notoriety for both my Imp (Lazflip) and also My Infernal (I call him Terry) within my guild over the 2 1/2 years I have been in my Guild.
My Imp has so many stories to tell, from chain fireball tanking bosses in Scholo (ok very briefly), to getting the +300 damage buff from Botanica and pulling aggro from our MT ![]() A couple of priests in the Guild will shield and heal him over me if they see he is in trouble, and he always get full group buffs /rebuff if he dies) I RP him a bit in our Guild (non RP realm) to the point where I have actually created a gnome mage in his name with the backstory that when the master is asleep he can use a special trinket to switch to Gnome form and soon he will be the master.... Also Lazflip is forever trying to sell services to guildies - the guild currently owed him 5000g for a set of screenies he took in Kara for the group.. My Infernal I nicknamed Terry ( and people in Guild ask for Terry now) and he has saved / created many a memorable encounter the guildies have suffered/enjoyed. So with a little effort you can create a little colour to our Master/Slave relationship for all our demons. Does any other Warlocks have similar situations with your pets with Friends/Guildies |

Re: Are your Pets famous?
Hehe cool story.
The only time a pet of mine got noteriety was when I enslaved one of the elite demons in Nagrand to save a party of people that were having a hard time with the quests there. They thought it was superb. |

Re: Are your Pets famous?
I am sure you know who I speak of when I say "Blue", he is pretty popular with the guildies I run with, they know if Blue goes down that everyone waits for me to summon another. Some of the tanks realize he makes their job a lot easier and will occasionally mourn the loss of "Blue". When I show up with out "Blue" I have to explain myself 3 different times.
"Blue" is my buddy and an important part of my guild. His real name is Mezajuuk, no clue how to even say that! |

Re: Are your Pets famous?
Two of my demons are popular within my guild. My Imp, Rupnip, and my Felguard, Shaaroon. Of the two, Shaaroon (Sharon as we call him) is much more popular, mostly because of his name.
The most common joke about having a male demon named Sharon is the following .... Which is worse? A demon named Sharon? Or getting your face pushed in by a demon named Sharon? Rupnip is popular for a different reason. On boss fights when I have him out. My best RL friend and I will start quoting lines from the movie Full Metal Jacket. The scene in the helicopter where the Door Gunner is shooting all the Vietcong and starts in with.... Door Gunner: Git some! Git some! Git some, yeah, yeah, yeah! You guys oughta do a story about me sometime! Private Joker: Why should we do a story about you? Door Gunner: 'because I'm so ****in' good! So when the boss is close to dead, Rupnip will "Git some!" and many members of the guild will call out "Git some, Rupnip. Git some!" It's pretty funny but you'd have to be there I guess. ![]() |

Re: Are your Pets famous?
Empowered, I almost fell out of my chair reading that story! I myself love that movie (extremly quoteable).
Private Joker: I wanted to see exotic Vietnam... the crown jewel of Southeast Asia. I wanted to meet interesting and stimulating people of an ancient culture... and kill them. I wanted to be the first kid on my block to get a confirmed kill! |

Re: Are your Pets famous?
My pet isn't famous (but I love my VW, Helphog, all the same). But I'm here to talk about the Warlock who got me interested in becoming a 'Lock...Malfice and his imp, Garlop.
Garlop was so well known on our guild runs into ZG and AQ20, that we'd often tell Malfice in Vent not to speak unless Garlop told him he could. ![]() |

My Voidwalker, Zag'Kath, is well known among my crew. We often joke that he is the best Tank in our guild.

Re: Are your Pets famous?
My imp is rather famous among some of my guildmates from previous guilds, and my current guild. Pizrin.
Piz, as we affectionately call him, is like a really little kid that complains all the time yet everyone says, Thats so cute! and pats him on the head. Since he was my primary pet for several months, He was rarely separated from me. Most people would say hi to Piz before me. I even have one friend that made another toon called Piz, in honor of him. And ofcourse, whenever I die, I get, What did you do with Piz! and if he dies, i get yelled at for being a irresponsible pet owner. Other than Pizrin, my epic and non epic lock mounts are well known. My felsteed is named Grendle, and my Dreadsteed is named Bree after the brave horse in the Chronicles of Narnia (A horse and his boy). And, before i get asked, No you cannot name your mounts with any method in game, I just do so for fun. Last edited by Thelmarle; August 10, 2007 at 09:28 AM.. |
