Cleave Question for Felguard
According to the website description for this power ....
Requires Level 50 295 Mana 5 yd range Instant cast 6 sec cooldown A sweeping attack that does your weapon damage plus 32 to the target and his nearest ally.Trainable Ranks Listed Below: Rank 2: 295 Mana, plus 50 damage Rank 3: 295 Mana, plus 78 damage My question is .... Does that mean your average damage range of your weapon? Having said that .. would it be wiser to get a high warlords staff with higher dps over a spellblade because of the cleave damage boost? |

Re: Cleave Question for Felguard
The only unfortunate side effect is that cleave doesn't work on your opponent and his nearest ally. It will hit anything you aren't "friendly" with.
A good example of why this can suck is AV. The wolves are neutral, sometimes they wander into range of cleave and then you've aggro'd the frostwolf. Which isn't that big of a deal, but it's annoying. So be careful using it in the proximity of nuetral mobs. Especially factions you're trying to gain rep with. It's kind of funny when a bunny bounces into range, and dies, but I'd rather have it obey the spell description. |

Re: Cleave Question for Felguard
Yeah, when raiding I turn off cleave and anguish on the felguard. After breaking a sheep with cleave a couple of times you can imagine the comments from the rest of the raid. As for anguish, I see no use for it in raid unless the felguard is tanking for us.

Disabling cleave on FG
Why should I disable the cleave ability on my FG? To have it off-tank in instances without getting as much aggro (then,I guess I should also disable taunt)? Or maybe just to save mana,in order to have Intercept always available? But my FG has plenty of mana, thanks to mana feed. Am I not giving away half the pet's dps by disabling cleave?
