Re: Pets in instances
Depends on your group.
If they need stamina for a tank, then use the Imp. If you need to CC, use the Succubus for Seduce. If neither of the former apply, you could use the Voidwalker, or whatever other pet you'd like. (I'd probably stick with an Imp or Succubus though, unless your group needs an extra tank) |

Re: Pets in instances
always imp for blood pact and to a lesser degree the fire shield. the succy is normally brought out for cc purposes if needed and the voidwalker is just not worth it imo.
personally i always run with the imp for soloing and for instances- nothing like having an invincible mana battery, as well as a nice stam buff. |

Re: Pets in instances
In the early levels, however, I found myself using void quite often: maybe because the party needed an off-tank, and sometimes just because the tank was SO bad that "I" wanted an personal tank to protect ME

Re: Pets in instances
Succubus, period.
You can whip out the imp for stam/mana battery on boss fights. There is no excuse not to have every thing that is not being dps'd controlled. In my usual group we use tank, seduce, trap, trap/sheep. As soon as first target is down, I seduce the trapped targets to help the hunter from having to re-trap, or in case the trap is broken/resisted. Felhunter only in rare circumstances. VW, not since I was like 20 :P |

Re: Pets in instances
When tanking on an alt at lower (pre 60) levels I always got a bit nervous seeing a voidy out, I always preferred to tank everything - any kind of pet taunt tends to annoy the hell out of most tanks (never running with 2 hunters again, not 1 if I can avoid it :P).
As a good rule of thumb turn up with the imp, offer to seduce (usually not needed pre-60), and only pull out voidy if asked to OT or felpup if asked to interrupt healers/casters if your group lacks a mage or rogue. |

Re: Pets in instances
I agree with the imp and succy, but when your group does a bad pull and starts to fall apart I pull out my fg and off-tank just to give my group some more time to recover. This can be a bad idea if you take away blood pact or your suduce. It seems to work for me most of the time.
