As Fire spec'd I sac imp but same as Corpboy, I use felpup sac on illhoof

IMO lifetap and bandages are the way to go. The only time I use pots are when I am close to death and dont have a healthstone. If I am out of mana I will lifetap til 7K mana then immediately bandage myself followed by SL. I rarely ever sac the pet, after all he's the one controllling mob from attacking me.

I don't know about saccing a raid tank, but I'm really good at sacrificing mages. Bribe a rogue to expose armor on the boss at 1%, and then laugh as he runs over and kills a mage or two.

usually I keep 20 super mana in bag using about 10/15 each raid...And the only time I sacced the pup is Terestian for me too

I blow through at least 30 mana pots in a raid night. I bring 40 along and pot on cd plan your mana useage and dont over tap or you will hurt your dps. Also learn when to tap on each fight.

I sac the puppy for Seed fights, like Hyjal trash, but otherwise it's always the extra shadow damage. I just recently respeced from felgaurd though so I'm still learning the spec.
