Re: Do you buff your pets?

My imp is ALWAYS phased out during buffs to get as many as I can get on him, some are useless, however any buff that increases his mana regen is good for my dark pacting. Also our Raid policiy on wipes is to resurrect rezzers first, then locks (so we can summon our demons before buffing begins), then everyone else.

I also have a deal worked out with our Salv pally to throw Wis on me, then after phase out of imp throw Salv on me.

The more mana my imp can regen = more dark pacting and less life tapping for me = less mana spent on my by healers.

Re: Do you buff your pets?

I'm the same, when I'm affliction I will just phase out my imp for buffs, both in raids and 5 mans. If for some reason I shouldn't have him summoned during buffs, I just whisper the relevant buffers to ask if I can have a buff for him (in raids anyway, 5 mans I normally only do it if it's a guild run).

When I go as demonology I'd normally have a pet out that gets buffs either way, but if I should get asked for an imp I'll get him buffed with any intellect and stamina increasing stuff to get myself some extra spellpower at least.

I think if you're in a raid as either affli or demo and people are refusing buffs for any of your demons they probably need to be told about how it benefits you in turn.

Oh yes, and I would carry some of the Kibler's Bits/ Sporeling Snacks on me too usually, but I have a hunter alt with full cooking so it doesn't cost me anything anyway.

Re: Do you buff your pets?

I like to save my scrolls for Armor/Strength/Agility for buffing my pets (well Felgaurd) for runs. It can make a nice boost to his dps and on difficult elites while questing can make him hold agro better while I let loose.

If you can give yourself even a small advantage I think its worth it - for fights like Leo its essential that your pet if buffed if your on tank duty.

Re: Do you buff your pets?

Ah yes forgot to mention the Sporeling Snacks on top of the other buffs, don't care about the stamina for my imp obviously but the extra spirit is what I'm after. More mana regen for my mana battery!!!

I'm an officer in our guild and the Lock class leader, immediately after rez all our locks summon demon so they can benefit from buffs as they're happening, and I will absolutely ask in vent for buffs my imp didn't get. If anyone bitches about it, I explain to them why it helps my dps. Then I get the healers on my side by mentioning to that person that healers will have to spend less mana on me because of more dark pacts, and I get the tanks on my side by noting that that saved mana can then be spent to keep the tanks alive.

It's all a mind game, and I always win. I mean who really wants all the locks, healers and tanks pissed at them???

Re: Do you buff your pets?

I usually ask for Int and Stam buffs for my Imp before I phase him.

Like to get any Stamina buffs for my Felpup when I PvP, he has about 6k HP but can get to 8k at times which is quite useful.

Re: Do you buff your pets?

Felguard raider here and yes I get Stam, Spirit, Int, Gift of the Wild, plus however many pally blessings are going around (he gets the warrior ones). I always bring Kibler's Bits and use that on boss fights. Never thought about using the scrolls on him. May have to give that a whirl in the future. I have one point in mana feed so that whenever I lifetap he gets more mana so he can keep on cleaving (as long as there is no cc for him to break).
