Dreadsteed Bugged?

Just curious if anyone else has come across the following problem in getting their dreadsteed. I completed all the steps, a guildie had the final 3 items and did the ritual for me. we downed all the demons, downed the steed, and even the other elite that came after.

This is where my issue is. At the end I talk to the horse, complete my quest, and it says the quest is completed and (being 70 and too lazy to have done it earlier) ~11 1/2g for my trouble. It didn't, however, give me my dreadsteed.

Is this a known bug? did I miss something here? So far my petition has been 'escalated' to the 'character specialists' for further investigation but I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that's had this issue.

did you check your demonology spell book...should be in there

I've taken heeps of people to get that horse, mainly due to the list on this site, and every one says the same thing, "I did not get the horse".

It's there in your demo spells and is very easy to overlook.

My demo spells are alpha sorted, and it goes from Soulshatter to Summon Felhound with no summon Dreadsteed in between. As I said, it didn't say "you have learned a new spell Summon Dreadsteed" when I completed the quest, just that I'd completed the quest Dreadsteed of w/e and that I'd received 11ish gold.

It is a known issue. When I got mine, my friend who shared his mats for free didn't get it. He contacted a GM and told him about it. He got his spell like 5 days later.

So there you have it, get a ticket and wait it out. You'll get your horse. I'm sorry that after all that you stood in front of the horse and completed the quest, only to very anticlimactically not get the spell.

Well thanks at least I know it's not just me and have some hope for the fact that Blizz may resolve this escalated ticket that's been open since last night. I was kinda worried that I'd wait 2-3 days only to have them tell me that I was S.O.L. or that I'd have to start over again.

Just an update... it took them 3 days of 'escalated' petition but they finally got my Dreadsteed fixed up into my spellbook.

It was particularly funny that they considered it a "Character Restoration" request considering in order to 'restore' something you need to have had it to begin with. But hey, we all know I sold the Summon Dreadsteed spell to the vendor for 25s right? :P

Had the exact same problem, and people kept telling me to look in my spellbook again. It wasn't there. I opened a ticket and when I logged back on later I was mounted on my dreadsteed and the summoning spell was easy to find in the spellbook. So, definitely a bug.
