Which one, Succubus or Felhunter.
Note: I do not have any points in demonology.

Re: PVP Pet Choice

Situational. Most Destro locks run with a Succubus, but if you know in advance you're fighting a caster some change to Felhunter for extra utility and control.

Depends;

Arena - Felhunter
BG - Succubus
World - Felguard or Succubus (depends if your Demon or Affliction)

Battleground - Succubus? Is it for the 10% more damage? Over the 70 resist all with the felhunter + dispell + spell lock? I do not know for your battlegroup, but I found dispell more usefull hunter/sheep/frost nova/pally stun/fear/... and I still finish a lot of times first in the dps/kill.

That is if you are Demon spec. I'm Affliction, so with that said there are a ton of rogues and healers in my Battlegroup. I'll give this to the Ally in my battlegroup, they sure know how to play healers. The Horde on my battlegroup SUCK! Not enough healers or they just don't know how to play one. So, with that said, I have to fend for myself. Succubus against rogues, warriors are better (aside from the Felguard). Getting hit and having them suduced and forcing them to use thier trinket is a savior.

It saves my DC and iHot for when they get close again. Nothing beats a rogue getting sudduced when they stun you. Pop trinket, CoX and get some distance.

The smart rogues vanish to fight another day because they lost the element of surprise and have CoX, SL, Corr, UA on them with a Fear or sudce coming.

But my point still. If it is only your the seduce, it will work for a 1v1 against rogue. You can kite almost every other class, except for hunter but if he is smart he will use his pet against the succubus when he got seduced. She is simply too weak. A good rogue will be able to kill her and get back on you. I don't remember if the seduce share the same diminishing return with something else. Maybe it is usefull to cap a flag in AB or AV.

But I'm not 50% of the time in these situations. Even when I was Affliction I ran with the felhunter. But if I join a BG with 30%-40% rogues I may consider having my succubus out.

Re: PVP Pet Choice

I run with the felhunter out, always.

I love coming across a lock with his/her succy out in a bg. It's an easy kill.

I dot the succy before I"m charmed and send puppy after the lock. Two dots will take her down, and if the lock manages to fear, diminishing returns has already set in.

If I'm charmed before I see the succubus, puppy can take care of her. She doesn't have enough health to be really useful beyond the initial ambush.

Re: PVP Pet Choice

I prefer felhound over succy, especially for the times when I'm guarding flags, flag carriers etc.
This morning I swear I could hear the rogues and druids curse me as I caught them every time trying to sneak up on our flag and carrier in WSG. Quite fun .

Re: PVP Pet Choice

I use Succubus in Arenas. But I never open up with a Seduce. I'll only Seduce when I'm CC and need an interrupt. It's actually great when a Druid cyclones you and tries to cast a regrowth. Or when your trinket is on CD and a Rogue pops CLoS/Vanish. Yea, it's usually only 1 seduce. But I'm 5/7/49 spec. I get a Shadowfury every 20 seconds, as well as a Daze occasionally. It works great.

Re: PVP Pet Choice

Well i was in BG last night & it shows how truely awful the alliance are at AB when there in a full pug.there were 2 warriors & 2 rogues all from blackrock & all rolling together. The alli went 15 different ways & none had a clue. The guys from blacrock just rode around the circle & kept taking each base. I had fel pup out but thats useless against that group so i ended up with imp & at least lasted a bit longer.I have no idea where some of the alli players were-they must have been on the opposite side of the circle cause they never got into a fight with these guys!
