Re: pet problems
I put all my pets on passive, I don't want them triggering guards if someone attacks me because I afk flagged in a safe area, or them pulling aggro or changing from the nuke target....
They'll still attack when told to on passive and that's the problem. His won't. Last edited by Devicus; May 14, 2008 at 10:22 AM.. |

Re: pet problems
Looks like they will need a patch for the patch. After the patch my Wow actually came up an error and even shut the program down completly. Very unnerving because it was during a Boss fight. restarted Wow logged in and came back dead of course.Must have looked like a total idiot just standing there during the boss fight.

Re: Pet Not Responding
I was having a very similar problem yesterday in BM. I was on adds with a rogue--don't ask me why the mage wasn't on adds--and thought my pet might give me a hand. I tried the succi first. I had her on passive because I didn't want her responding to the bosses shadowbolts and such. She wouldn't attack when i told her to. She'd make that characteristic noise and then just stand there. I found myself having to switch back and forth between defense and passive, because she *did* attack when on defensive. Tried Void and imp, and same deal. I finally tried the puppy and he responded correctly. One more reason why the puppy is best. I wish I could have him out all the time.
Anyway, I thought it was a 2.4.2 bug, but reading your post it might just be because the only time I have my pet on passive is in instances and very very rarely use it to attack. I also tend to set passive in BGs, but there I'm using my puppy and he responds correctly, as stated. Dunno what's up. Last edited by galahan; May 14, 2008 at 12:08 PM.. |

Re: pet problems
I get this with my Voidwalker occasionally too, strange thing is when I sacrificed him for the shield that worked ok, so it must just be an attack problem not a lag problem; for me anyway.
My Succy is also acting up, so hopefully the new patch to fix the old patch will be ready soon... ![]() Imp and Felpup are working just fine though, that might be because i keep them on Passive and Agressive... hmm. Confuzzling! ![]() |

Re: pet problems
The problem is this:
Last patch they messed something up with all stealthed and invisible pets(succubus). They will not attack while stealthed or invisible. Remedy: If you want your pet to auto attack when you command it to you must turn off invisibility(right click the spell on her bar, then manually have her lash of pain something or mount and dismount and she will not longer be invis) She will however still auto seduce in pvp if you have her on aggressive while invis and have her auto attack on 2 targets one of which is seducable. |

Re: pet problems
I've had this problem too, ticketed the GM. His response was for me to completely remove my addons, clearing my WTF/Cache etc... didn't work.
The odd thing is it's only my succy that this happens to, will not attack when told to (while on passive), will not attack when I'm get the shit kicked outta me (while on defensive), will not go psycho (while on aggressive). Just laughs/comments strolls up and stands there checking out there ***. Imp, Void, and Puppy work fine, so does my Infernal. I've also tryed running with her off auto invis after reading through the posts... Blizz you really stuffed up... FIX OUR CLASSES REASON FOR BEING! |

Re: pet problems
It's all stealthed/invis pets. Succy is the only one we have that is stealth/invis. Hunters have the same problem with a couple of their pets that stealth. She works just fine if you keep invis turned off til blizz fixes it.
