Re: Felguard DPS

Will that work even if I dont have the felguard ability?

If so that'd be perfect, I just dont want to drop 25-30g on a respec and back again if he's kinda weak which is why I'm quite happy to accept "theorycraft" for the minute since it'll be quite the gold hit.

Re: Felguard DPS

Also something new I just learned and maybe it was already known and I am just a noob. From everything I have read shadow damage increased your demons AP. This is true and not true. The actual truth is your pets AP is affected by the highest spell damage between fire and shadow. So if your fire is the highest in damage it will use fire damage to calculate your pets AP. If it it shadow it will use the shadow. Noticed this tonight when I replaced my +20 pure shadow belt with a +26 spell damage netherweave my pets AP actually increased and the tooltip changed from "Your shadow damage increases your pet....." to "Your fire damage increase your pets....". Since fire is the top of the list of spelldamage it just uses that since it and shadow are exactly the same. This is interesting cause there could be a time when having a firestone equiped just to increase your pets AP could come in handy depending on your wands damage increase in comparison.

Is your felguard squishy?

So I was afk for a couple of days while the patch was installed. When I came back to do some simple grinding of Bloodelves in Terokkar forest I found that the Felguard was taking massive amounts of damage. In fact being tired and all I wasn't really paying attention and he died while I was attacking 2 mobs. Now this never happened before. Has there been a change to his armour? His HP?

You know I'm fine with whatever changes Blizz wants to make but gee I wish they would just tell us.

Re: Is your felguard squishy?

i have not got there yet but what type of damage do they do?

i believe that magic damage completly ignore armor.

I am just remembering back to the pounding my Void got on the beach in STV witht he Bloodsail locks and mages. The mauling he got in Azshara with the belfs up there who were casters.

Also if you have changed gear recently then his stats will have changed. Any drop in your stam will lower his, while any increase in +damage with raise his attack power - not trying to tell you the games workings but these were things that came to mind since i dont think they have changed him.

Re: Is your felguard squishy?

No he hasnt changed at all, if you do not have the 3 points into demonic resilence I would highly suggest it. For one in instances he can tank pretty damn well and 2 if you pvp a lot the 3% to not take a Crit stacks with your resilence so just fyi.

Mistrust

His Attack Power only goes up with fire spell damage, so those who are gearing towards all shadow damage will not benefit there felguard at all so if you want your baby to have great attack power go for damage gear and not shadow damage

Re: Is your felguard squishy?

A couple of my guildies seemed to think that they weakened the felguard with this last patch, (being affliction, I wouldn't know.)

They also didn't mention that they 'fixed' the imp in patch notes and by fix i mean drop his DPS.

Re: Is your felguard squishy?

Actually, Nexosic, the +attack power and spell power that gets transfered to your demon is base on which ever School of Magic your +damage is higher in, Either Fire or Shadow.
