Dreadsteed, worth the time and effort?

I just hit lvl60 and I am now asking myself a few questions on the Dreadsteed. These are the ideas I thought about.

1) Do the quest, safe around 100g.
2) Go cheap, just buy ugly human mount.
3) Do the lowbie quests at Darnassus, get a Tiger (I'm already half-way done in revered)

Help please

From my perspective, you're a lock get your lock mount. But some people say these days it isn't worth the time and effort to go do all that running around. All personal preference really. Do you want the dreadsteed or not really is all it boils down to.

You are breaking my heart here.Think about this first who in game can get the hottest looking mount (The Dreadsteed)?Warlocks and ONLY warlocks, no other class can have your mount that should be reason enough.Yes it can be a pain to get all the mats together and getting groups. You have to do the final warlock quest is is one in it's own ... very fun and very well worth your time.Take your time read the full guide here on the walk through on getting your Dreadsteed. You will never regret getting your horse from hell !!!!!!!

Imo, it's completely pointless. Unless you actually know someone with everything you need you'll probably end up spending the same amount as just buying the epic training, if not more. Plus, in my opinion, it looks stupid and overused. But that's just my opinion.

Dude, blood elves ride chickens, you think dreasteeds look stupid..?

It's a trademark mount. You're not a complete lock without it, in my opinion.
