all locks get the same mount because it's a class mount. which is why it's trademark. which is why you should get it.

The fact that all locks get it make it that much more un-unique imo. Simply because of the overwhelmingly huge amount of locks in the game.

Well I only put the lock part due to the fact that it was said blood elves ride chickens and that pallies and locks do not(both classes that blood elves have) and the blood elf pally mount blows the alliance pally mount out of the water.

its a personal choice. We are the only class that gets this mount. IMO it is worth it. sure its will cost, but you don't have to spend gold on a mount and riding skill.
as far as knowing someone..check here http://www.wowmb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=8413

this is only on listed one your server [Laughing Skull: Blekkmonster (A), Zakuzo (A), Garagos (A)]

even if you do not decide at this time invest the time/money into the task. I say it still is worth getting at some point, even if your 70 and have your epic flyer, the Dreadsteed is still a cool looking mount

IMO Talbuks are the hottest mounts but it's impossible to get at 60.

I think I am going to do the quest, if I can find someone with the mats, a few names where given. If not, it will be tiger mount. rawr.

Re: Dreadsteed, worth the time and effort?

With patch 2.4 and the openning up of so many dailies, money(gold) really isn't much of a problem to get so don't let cost ( ~ 200g ) for the dreadsteed standn your way.

Also, if you do not have a flying mount as of yet, getting aound some of the larger zones like Nagrand really require an epic mount.

And of course, sometimes you STILL have to go back to Azeroth ( Kara, ZA, etc )

I have all the pvp mounts, the netherwing mount and by far the best looking mount is the Dreadsteed. Its the one that my guild are jeaolous of unless they locks cos they cannot have it

Re: Dreadsteed, worth the time and effort?

As I recall, buying all the quest items and the final 3 mats (they lowered the number of quest items you need too) is still cheaper in the end than buying your normal riding skill and mount. It just takes a lot of time and energy to get it done as you have to go into some of the old school instances, which few people do now days.

And yeah, a lot of locks use this mount, after all it is a Warlock Mount. Who could blame them? But ultimately it is still a rather unique mount compaired to all that is out there. For one, only 1/9th of the classes can get this mount, so even if there are a lot of warlocks on a realm, we're still out numbered. And two, Just look at it. All the graphics that went into it still blow away those spent on other mounts. It's simply a very cool looking mount. So, why not?

Even though Flying mounts have pretty much taken over normal riding ones, Remember that You still need your Ground mount in Azeroth as well as in Wrath for a good many of the opening levels.
