Raiding infernals
So someone had posted recently about using an infernal on Supremus. Got me to thinking there's a lot of bosses you can use an infernal on to boost your dps(1.5 sec cast, doesn't get rid of DS, for some reason also the 2 set t5 makes one of his powers heal himself).
So far I have all these bosses as able to have infernal cast during: All of the bosses in MH, the first 4 bosses in ZA(does it work on Zul'jin?), and Supremus. Are there any other bosses this would work on? Of course when doing MH there are certain bosses that would be a better choice to use it on. Personally I would do Rage and Kaz'rogal. He'll probably die on Rage, but last longer on Rage than on Anetheron(and if you use it on rage your CD should be up for Kazrogal but not if you use it on Anetheron). Does Azgalor target pets for rain of fire? He should be immune to it yes, but if he can even target him with it the tank will get rain on him. Also if you get Archimonde to 60% cast the infernal. He should be immune to doomfires so while you're running around avoiding them your pet will pound on the boss. Best use for infernal is either bear or dragonhawk in ZA(if you're running chest run you won't have time for 2. If you cast him on the first batch of dhawks you'll not only stun them but his aura will be damaging them as well. And once again it's immune to their flame buffet and the flame breath from the boss. If you use it on bear, just cast it once tank has agro as fight should not last more than 5 minutes and let him pound away. |

Re: Raiding infernals
It's actually a highly overlooked spell in our arsenal. Depending on the fight he does 150-200 dps of his own.. which is a rather substantial increase. Just make sure that you have a macro set up to re-enslave it should it get loose, and keep it on a tight enough leash that if it breaks early, it's in range for an enslave.

Re: Raiding infernals
Well any of the ZA bosses shouldn't last more than 5 minutes and the infernal is very good about not breaking early. Honestly I've never seen it do that. And then most 25 man bosses that you can use it on are never more than 10 minutes (hence I said cast at 60% on archimonde) so usually it's just a judgement point on when to cast.

Re: Raiding infernals
Remember, don't cast it until about 60% or so or else you may have some issues at the 10% unless your group has good dps on him

Re: Raiding infernals
LOL
Archimonde is a bad idea to use an infernal. Good in theory as mine was raping him and taking no damage. The other lock who used infernal at the same time as me however got air bursted..... and then was way far away from his infernal and enslave broke as the infernal then decided to assault the priests. They were very unhappy with that lock, but we convinced them it wasn't quite his fault since we had no clue that could happen. |

Re: Raiding infernals
As far as damage and the surviability of he the infernal goes. How does he compare to the Felguard and also the VoidWalker.
Demon spec here so I always like to test out certain pets on certain bosses and mobs in instances and raids. |

Re: Raiding infernals
VW is a better damage soak, Felguard is better dps. He's only really useful in a sacrifice build, because you can have your DS buff and an infernal out at the same time.
