I just when to check it and LOW AND BEHOLD the quest was there, did it and reaqquired my Imp! Still had the same name and abilities so I presume it didn't really change anything but oh well.

I did that on my gnome warlock. She ran to northshire and did the human imp quest rather then the gnome one. and then at level 70 I decided to go back and do all the quests I missed (still working on it) and when I went to the gnome area I found I could do the imp quest again and get a ton of gold for it.

both my warlock and pally can learn their level 40 mounts... only problem is it's already in their spell book... prob a bug left over from patch where you retain the ranks of spell you learn even after respeccing
