Hrm... A lock - pet combo of Hugh Jass (or similar) would be kinda tempting... for about 5 seconds.

If you think about it, it would be pretty stupid to name a demon something. I mean your summoning a demo from another world to come help you in battle. Its not like a hunters pet where you tame it and make it yours. They are there to help you, they aren't yours to keep if that makes sense. I like having my felguard's name being something totally demonic and wake

ye, i dont like the idea of being able to rename your pet. your demons are powerful beings from another world that have their own names.

question: if you get your FG talent sumon it so it has its name, then unlearn the talent and learn it again will it have a new name? just curious i dont have a FG so it doesn't really matter =D

Nope. His name doesn't change even if you unlearn the talent and then take it again later.

Only way to get a different felguard name is to re-roll a new warlock.

I wish I got as lucky as one warlock I saw in BG's. His felhound's name was Moron. I would've paid to be able to have that one. :D

I dont want to name my minions...but I would like some more original ones from Blizz. My imp is Piplop...and I'm tired of seeing Ziplop, Flipchop, Niphop, etc, etc. Same with the FG, felpups, and VW's. All of them some slight variation on the same name is a little unimaginative on Blizz's part.

I really hope that Blizz will let us rename our pets in the future. The only name I like so far is my succy's - Kalrida.
But I hate it to walk around with Konmon and Jhaathuun...

Maybe I'm not so objective (my first character was a hunter ;) , but it's cool to have a pet with a unique name.
