My very first voidwalker popped up named Mezzthang. With a start like that, I've been doomed to disappointment. Lowest point: walking by a gnome (A GNOME!) whose felguard had the same name as mine.

My imp on my first lock, Skampi, was named Zepnik, I used to call him "Led" Zepnik. Sad how not many caught the reference

Anyway, I agree with the "ugh" factor that would be involved with being able to name your demons. I already can't stand the slang used in this (and other) games, Paris Hilton the Succubus would just be wretched. In the bad way.

I just think the minions should be a little more unique. I've actually seen minions with the EXACT same names as mine before. Maybe I'm just being too protective over them...but I love my minions. Saved my bacon too many times.

My imp's name is Zorkin, my VW is...well...I'm not able to actually pronounce it, so I don't remember it. My Succubus is named Hellia, how fitting.

I'm pretty ok with names of my pets. However, it might be cool if there was a "Sever the Tie" ritual that one could pay gold for that would allow you to lose knowledge of the appropriate pets summoning spell, thus severing the tie between you and your current minion. You could then relearn the spell from the trainer and take a gamble with a new minion name.

As a side note, my troll hunter's ravager's name is, Peaches. Perhaps a bit too cute, but in my defense, he's the orange model and kind of peach colored.

Yes.. these are twins. Its a rare occurence but it does occur.
You will probably notice that the twins stay within species - two Felguards with the same name, two imps, etc.

Its even rarer to see an imp and a Felpuppy with the same name

My felguard is named Haatum, VW is named Ormgrave, and Imp is named Zilmir. Don't remember the Succubus' name or the Felhunter. Any demon with the word "grave" in his name is cool by me.
