Pet weapons

This screenshot shamelessly stolen from this thread. Notice the weapon the felguard is holding and also take note that it has a particle effect attached to it. That looks sooo much better than his old ax in my opinion (maybe I grew tired of the FG's axe...). Maybe it is just a model update, but I approve

Imo scimitar doesn't fit the FG, the axe was nice because both pet and weapon had skinny 'waists' while the upper body was huge. I'd rather see a mace or broadsword.

I would like to see the ability to swap out weapons for your felgaurd.

Honestly, just give demons some manner of talent trees much like hunters - or even JUST the Felguard....if they want use to keep pets around then give us some incentive....

Talents or a mini-equip screen for weapon/chest armor like the Diablo2 mercenary.
Now that would be cool....

You can see it more clearly in that screen shot imo. I wonder if this hints at the ability to give our pets limited weapons/gear to help increase their damage. Plus enchant em! woot.

Based on that screenshot it looks like pets still scale horribly, but if we could give them limited equipment it could easily make up for the loss in scaling. Imagine pet equipment dropping in raids/5 mans; They could drop like patterns that way it doesn't eat a loot slot. And you could offer PvP oriented stuff for extra honor/arena points. I'm certainly dreaming about the potential of this idea.... you could enchant and mold your pet's equipment into whatever role you need the pet to play!

EDIT: Sounds like I made it out to be true, it isn't. As far as I know it is just a model update.

It wouldn't need Pet Armour/Weapons....simply a few relevant talents would be nice....DPS talents for the Felguard, Tanking talents for the VW....as it stands we spend more time saccing pets than we do with them out

I would love to have talent trees for my demons, but I'd take either the talents or the ability to gear them up hehe
