Soul Link an Improved Imp?

Well, Im destro, and I had always been destro (pvp oriented).

Watching the Wrath of the Lich King new talents, deep destro can also go for soul link (yay! some survivality!)... but since a new talent give us an imp that has a 60% on evry atack to increase our spell crit chance by 100% (wow), and the posivility to get 3/3 improved imp in the way to sl, I was wondering if an soul-linked improved imp would be a VERY BAD idea.

An sl/sl wont use it because it would die instantly, but I think thats because sl/sl can self heal like a freaking "Self-Heal machine", and imp dont...
Deep destro can only use soul leech (if you go for it), but that isnt very close to be a "Self-Heal Machine", so imp wouldnt have that mega-diference on persentages...

Not a very bad idea... but the imp dies to fast, thats the thing. But still... i think that destro will be a move viable build for pvp in the future, im sl/sl and it scares a bit:P

You don't have to soul link. You don't get any damage buff anymore as it is now and I would just use the MD buffs.

It is possibly no longer a bad idea. Soul Link only does 15% damage instead of 20% now. Also, I think they are increase the health of the Imp and the other pets. I am thinking whilst it is probably still a bit squishy, it is not unusable.

Ya, I heared that blizz is working on an improvement on lock's pets, because they are weaker every day.

They're not increasing the Imp's health enough that Soul Linking to an Imp will be viable.

The Imp will be the PvE pet for Destruction, but the Felhunter will remain the PvP pet.

Well... I dont remember where, but I read that they are going to improve imp's health, armor, and a 80% aoe damage mitigation. This conbined with the new sl (15% down from 20%).... may be it can work (if bliz do that improvements, it means that they want us tu use a non Phase Shifted imp)...
And if you didnt knew, owr poore puppy wont have paranoia ant more...

And guess what, they improved the % of chances from 60 to 100...
That means a perma crit!

No, it still doesn't have enough health to support Soul Link.

You must have in mind that with a comon bluid (haveing good self-heal dots) locks can take a lot of damage, so imp cant survive...
But destro doesnt suffer a lot of damage because we die, we burn people down before they kill us (like 5 hits, lol).
