Small Pets...what do you like to use?

I was curious to see what others use, if any, for your companions. It's fun to me to try to complement my toon as best I can.

My lock has a Sprite Darter, a reward from the Alliance quest chain in Feralas. I have some from the Christmas events among others.

But, I guess I have an affinity for cats. My wife and I have 3 cats IRL, and my 3 other toons I primarily use all have cats. The mage has a black tabby from the vendor in Elwynn Forest. My NE rogue has the Siamese from Deadmines.

But my favorite of all is my dwarf hunter. I tamed a snow leopard in Dun Morogh, and later a Ghost Saber (same skin, only semi-transparent). One day, I found Lil Timmy walking through Stormwind. I usually just buy the white kitten to resell later, but I decided to keep this one. It's really cool looking to have what looks like mommy and baby as my pets. Then I started thinking I need to get my rep with Darnassus and the frostsaber trainers to get a white cat mount. Too bad Oreo despawns when I mount, otherwise I be running around with a whole family of white cats. Don't know what I'll do if I decide to train another pet.

Heh - I have a few pets, but I am proudest now of my full collection of farmed whelpings :-)

Have the Crimson Whelpling, Emerald Whelpling, Dark Whelpling and Azure Whelpling.

But the Emerald Whelpling was a real sod - I used to keep a mob count addon going until a year ago, and it reckoned I had killed 7,200 Adolescent and Dreaming Whelps with no drop (supposed 0.1% or 1 in 1000 drop off the Dreaming Whelps) and I have reguarly farmed for it since then, must be an absolute minimum of 9,000 kills.

And after almost 2 years of sporadic farming, it dropped for me 2 weeks ago

I just shouldn't get so obsessed!

i have a pretty massive collection of vanity pets, but on Awynna, my favorite is the first one I got, the Panda Cub from WoW C.E. On my shadow priest, I'm going between mini-diablo and netherwhelp (from WoW C.E and The Burning Crusade C.E, respectively).

Speedy the turtle, Eggbert and the spider from LBRS are the main three that see light of day... if I even remember lol. I'm not a good pet owner outside of Spike.

hmm i like my crimson whelp it's black skin and green eyes perfectly compliment a blood elf warlock also when the CE of Wrath of the Lich King comes out i definately gotta get me a copy the frost whelp would be a great companion for my new death knight.

I can assure you that despite the fact the picture is (as mentioned) Photoshopped, he does have all of those pets. This was prior to The Burning Crusade so I'm sure he's got a few more now

For my Gnome to get a Golden Dragonhawk Hatchling:

I leveled a BE to like 10, farmed Small Eggs for $$, bought a couple Golden Dragonhawk Hatchlings, made the trip down to Booty Bay, and got another nice horde to put in on the neutral AH for me.

But the Spirit of Competition is really cool looking and has such great colors. That's what I've been using for the past few days. (got it on my first win, woohoo)
