Arena Pet in Wotlk - Most Viable ?
So with the changes to the pets of Warlocks what is your view about the best viable pet in Arena. Im unfortunately not in the Beta but having read about the Paranoia change which imo sucks.
What pet do you feel is going to be most viable now? FelHunter with the changes still ? Or going for the VW High HP and channeled Paranoia ? With Premade level 80's coming maybe some people that were fortunate to get in do some testing |

Re: Arena Pet in Wotlk - Most Viable ?
I'll report back here once we in the EU beta get premade level 80 characters (don't have them yet).
I have a feeling Felguard .... damn wish they would give us Doomguard or even better permanent enslave of elite demons out there. I'd love to have a permanent version of that six-armed demon near the Dark Portal in Outlands. Here are a few: WoW-Europe.com Forums - Demons enslaved in outland |

Re: Arena Pet in Wotlk - Most Viable ?
Wow...finnaly someone that cares about PvP , cool.
Well i have thought about that... if we dont have felguard (which will give really good damage with fel empowerment + gylph etc ) its up to Felhunter and Voidwalker i think... felhunter has shadowbite but paranoia is gone... on the other hand voidwalker has more ap, hp, has that stupid stealth thing, suffering(always good to melee) and sacrifice (that will absorb like... 9k damage with 2/2 imp void maybe? ) |

Re: Arena Pet in Wotlk - Most Viable ?
Imagine if you could permanently enslave this chap ^^:
Eredar Stormbringer: level 70-71 elite has lots of hitpoints, can't give exact numbers, but around 50k hp., has 9k mana. Shadowfury: Does 230 damage per target in a selected area and stuns the enemie. Screenshots have proven though that it has 2k HITS aswell. 3.9sec cast, 130 mana. No mention of a cooldown, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. Incinerate: Deals 2k fire damage to the target. 138 mana required Cripple: increases time between physical attacks by 100% and reduces strength & moving speed by 50% for 15 seconds, has long cooldown, i think between 30 sec and 1 minute. does 1171-1656 damage per hit <-- do I need to say: COOL? |

Re: Arena Pet in Wotlk - Most Viable ?
The best pet to use in the Arena's will depend heavily on two factors, your spec and those you are up against. Giving that things often change with our talents and there hasn't been a lot done in the Beta to provide a lot of numbers about the various talents (some are broken I hear) It is very difficult to nail down THE PvP spec just at this moment. I'm sure we can get close with speculation.
Still, Being able to figure out the best pet to use also relies on those we are up against. Obviously the Felhunter would work best if we were paired up against casters, the Void Walker would be very useful against stealthed/melee players, and the Fel Guard would be fairly useful all around given it's stuns and damage capabilities. So I think the answer to your question is simply.... /shrug |

Re: Arena Pet in Wotlk - Most Viable ?
PVP is going to be FAR different for a lot of us used to SL/SL.
Felhunter is going to be pretty much trash without Paranoia, Tainted Blood, and high magic resistance is GONE! Instead he'll take like 15% less magic damage. Metamorphisis for PVP is also pretty much garbage, esp. when you get enslaved!!! ![]() Looks like we'll have to go deep affliction for some pvp viability. Melee does insane burst damage so far and mages will stand a GREAT chance at beating us with all the mage buffs! ![]() Looks like a passive imp. for a minor stamina buff is going to be our only option. ![]() |

Re: Arena Pet in Wotlk - Most Viable ?
from what ive read on arenajunkies from top pvpesr on beta best pet is no pet.. its jsut going to die in 3 secs from melee. I'm really worries about locks... hear there the worst class right next to hunters =(.
- if things dont change thinking of rerolling other than dk.. what class have any of you locks found joyable? |
