Felguard Crit rate?

I've just respecced to 19/41/0 after affliction spec leveling, so I'm interested (couldn't find answer, and no decisive answer ingame): Does my spell crit chance has any influence on crit chance of my Felguard? How does he increase his crit chance, automatic by leveling or...? I'm asking because my crit chance is for spell, and he's melee. Pls answer me if anyone knows for sure. Thanks

As far as I can tell, spell hit and spell crit have no influence on your pet.

That's correct. Stamina, Intellect, AP (via your spell power), Resistence, and Armor get over to your pet, I once calculated the numbers, it's somewhere hidden in these forums I think.

ah you whent 19/41/0 instead of the usual 7-41-11 felguard build. i also am that spec and have been for probably 2 months now and i love it. its great not having to go farm shards constantly for shadowburn. and who can complain with the hard ticking dots, nightfall, grim reach all with still using a felguard??

Alright, I've been searching for awhile and can't find any kind of decent information on it.
I've read that the base crit of felguard is ~5, from there it "scales"....yeah, doesn't give me much info. Scales with what?

The warlocks spell crit? our agility? I'd really like to think that my pet crits more that once every 15-20 attacks and am praying that it's off my spell crit.
The reason for this train of thought is with 3.0.2 going live soon, I'm looking at getting ready for maintaining a consistant demonic pact buff and trying to get my gear in place. Also, I know about the imp. Demonic Tactics, I'm trying to find out if it will scale with a base stat as well as the talented spell crit.

And if I need to start stackin agility, I'm going to cry.

Unless they changed something, I think it is time to bring out the Kleenex because pets currently get nothing from our spell crit rating (or any other rating)

According to my experience. Crits for pets have never scaled. His base crit rate I believe is 5%. With 5/5 in DT, it will be 10%. If you have other crit buffs, it can go higher.

/sigh, guess I'll have to work around it.
Right now I'm sitting around 23% crit unbuffed. 5% standard 5% demo tactics, and ~7% from imp demo tactics (assuming it goes off unbuffed) adds up to 17%, 1.5 sec auto attack (think that's right) means a crit every 10 seconds or so, plus any cleave crits. So I guess I should have just done the math and not wasted all my time, unless they add an internal c/d Demonic pact will be up pretty consistantly and untill we're able to start getting to the lich king gear will vastly outweigh imp. divine spirit.
Only thing I'm foggy on is that auto attack timer. But then when you throw Demonic Empowerment it's looking like demonic pact will actually be more useful than I origionally expected.... /end ramble
