Succubus Quest bugged?

i used the guide on the site as to how to find the Seer over in the barrens, but i get there, and i can't talk to him. neither can this other Warlock who was going there. so we're sitting in game right now, been almost two hours, still no GM, and it's busted. why is this like this? any one else have this where you cannot talk to the Seer? one week until retail?
pissed doesn't begin to describe it. they want people to pay when they have no game support and quests that randomly break?

I've been reading on the beta boards that a lot of Warlocks are having trouble with the Succubus pet, both Alliance and Horde alike. I can't provide you much info as I haven't tried doing it recently. :?

ya, i saw some comments about that too, and so i think it is bugged, although i've been people with her.

just very unhappy. between it being bugged and two hours with no GM, it's kinda ridiculous. if support is like this in retail, people will be demanding free months. this is not a good way to be a week before retail.

Don't forget that the Blizzard staff are probably extremely busy at the moment getting ready for retail. Unfortunately a stress test this large isn't really representative of how the closed beta was, or how retail will be. While they still listen to all bug reports and such their main focus at the moment is getting the retail servers ready along with other things.

As harsh as it sounds, pet quests aren't a top priority for them at the moment :?

I just recently did mine (tis past weekend) and didn't have a problem (which I'm sure you wanted to hear).

What were you doing when it got bugged? Was it when the servers were laggy? (I did three quest turns in's got the iteams and complted quest and exp. they restarted teh servers I still had all of the iteams for turn in and after turn in.... so I did them again :D )

maybe we can work you through it here... who knows?

that's just it, the server wasn't laggy because it was in the morning and there were two other warlocks there who also couldn't talk to the Seer, but could talk to the other guy there and get an Elite quest for some Orb thingie.

so it wasn't just me, there were two other warlocks who also couldn't talk to him, there was no orange arrow over his head. so i don't know what the bug is, but we shouldn't have to travel to horde lands at level 20 just to sit over there and not do the quest.

i'm giving up until retail. no point in playing any more, the wipe and close is Thursday, game is bugged and servers have been full of problems. at least come retail, i won't have to listen to that "it's a beta" crap any more.

Just did mine on Sat night, went smooth. In fact I found another warlock in the barrens and helped him get to the camp then we went and did the rest as well.

Try deleting you WTF file and that other one I can't remember nor can check at work right now... Also, do you use Cosmos? If so try uninstalling the UI.

the deleting of the files thing is A) not a solution and B) the typical generic answer a Blizzard rep gives you that basically let's you know this person has no clue what they are talking about.

and no, i am not using Cosmos (although many of it's features are needed) and there is no way Cosmos would cause a problem like this to happen, especially to TWO OTHER WARLOCKS besides myself. we were all there, and it wasn't working, no Orange Question Mark. simply put, the quest is broken.

now if i could post in the official forums, i would, but that is also broken, or they just aren't allowing people to do it, as i was able to post one day, not the next.

this game has bugs, it's not ready for release, their support is not up to snuff, and they are not ready.

again, once it goes retail, the Beta excuse is out the window. i love the game, i hate the bugs that stop you from enjoying the game. a bug like this is very big, as it's a critical quest, not an option. and the fact it's so hard to get to and once you get there, you're a sitting duck, makes things all the worse. this is the one quest that should never be broken, it's not like we are walking into Stormwind to get it, we have to travel across the world. that is a big part of the annoyance. no GM, that's just the rock through the skull.

here's someone who was able to post that the Quest, on my server (16), wasn't working, as i stated, and that the GM's know it isn't working and can't do anything about it. now i had seen other in the Alliance with their Succubus, so they got it some how, but here is yet another person who wasn't able to get it. 6 hours to get a GM, it shouldn't take more than 10 to 30 minutes. that is BAD customer service, especially for a session ending, character stopping bug like this.

oh, then i see other posts about the disappearing Succubus bug that loses all the skills and has existed for over five months.

the Warlock class is definately LONG from finished and has A LOT of problems that need to be worked out. guess we can pay money and hope they hire some better programmers and designers to fix all the problems.

Apparently your angry over the matter, granted, it is just a game. Not sure of your history, but I've been screwed over alot worse with bugs in other games, but I just got over it. File your complaint, hope you luck out with a nice/decent GM and move on. I've learned that I'm playing their game, and I take the pro's and con's with it, if I don't like it I am very much welcomed to play something else. And that's why I left EQ.

Seeing as they are coming right out of the door.. I'm cutting them some slack, being their first MMORPG. Now. If these issues are present in 6 months, maybe I'll say something about it. Till then...

While I agree that it is annoying, a lot of the bugs people are experiencing now came along with the open beta... there has to be a connection there. As annoying as it is, I'm trying not to complain because I know that the staff are run off their feet trying to get everything ready, and in fact spoke to one who was still working at 4:27am

If it really is that frustrating, then I suggest trying another class or maybe take a break from WoW all together and wait for release.
