Pet Scaling in WotLK

Hi everybody,

I was not able to find the latest info on this, so I ask here:

I assume we keep Armor, Resistance, Stamina, Intellect and Spell Damage/Attack Power scaling. We get 30% Crit scaling with Improved Demonic Tactics.

I read somewhere that we will get +Hit scaling. Can someone confirm this?

Do we also get Resilience for our pets?

And most important: Does haste have any effect on our pet?

Thanks for any clarification.

I can't remember the source, but I do remember reading a blue somewhere on the lock beta forums saying they've improved pet stat scaling slightly. Specific stats I can't really confirm

The biggest improvement though is all demons now have Avoidance - Spell - World of Warcraft, which reduces the damage taken by AOE effects by 80%, making that imp a little more survivable, and useful to attack with with the new demo imp buffs

Does avoidance AoE include effects such as Cleave and Whirlwind?

The devs haven't implemented it yet, but they have stated they plan to make hunter and warlock pets use their master's hit rating.

Re: Pet Scaling in WotLK

One thought:

Gear has SO much haste on it, it's almost impossible to skip it completely. Still, from an ivalue POV it doesn't make sense to stack it for Felguard raiding. So Damage > Crit > Haste indeed for Demonology set-ups.

I pray for the Hit stacking, otherwise raiding with FG will not make *any* sense in the long term.

Re: Pet Scaling in WotLK

there's plenty of gear with hit on it if you're worried

deep demo locks can have their pets scale off their crit as well now ( it's a talent )

all we're waiting on is for +hit

and yes to whirlwind i think... dunno about cleave since cleave is normally a frontal cone and I honestly don't remember a particular mob outside of instances that cleave ( can go test the VW succ felpup etc if you can name something )

Re: Pet Scaling in WotLK

Nono, I saw the +hit gear, that's fine. I just don't want any haste when my pet doesn't participate. It's bad usage of item budget to have it not scale to my pet. Crit does scale as I pointed out myself.
If I just go for Naxx 10 and cloth drops, I think about 50% have haste.

It'd be sooo nice to start seeing some of this actually applied.
Not like we're near 3.0 release, Wrath of the Lich King release or anything...

And frankly despite any Hunter QQ at the ready, we need it a lot more than Hunters.
[Their BM tree, and now their pets tree, make their pets eat ours for lunch pve/pvp.]
